He thinks that people posting on an internet message board that don't like a bands new music have enough power to "destroy what sp is doing now"... Talk about being delusional.Everyone here loves Smashing Pumpkins man. They've made a lot of mesmerizing spectacular music...

Just because a lot of people here don't enjoy the new music doesn't mean that other people cant... Alot of people I've talked to in person actually think Corgans set out to alienate the fan base for his own fucked up agenda... I dunno.

But songs like Pox, Owata, Widow wake my mind, Spangled, fellowship just seem uninspired. They dont have that powerful drive or emotional brilliance that Billys old songs have... It doesn't mean we dont still support Billy... I'm sure 80% of us still pay huge money to see him live when he comes.

All and all its stupid to blame the fans when an artist isn't connecting with them any more. 99% of the time in those cases its the artists fault.

If the new music doesn't connect with you, it doesn't mean that it doesn't connect with other people.

I've refrained from judging SP on live performances after being stoked on Superchrist, Song for a son, widow wake my mind, tom tom, and owata live and then being shocked by how shitty the recorded versions sound.

Well tom-tom is still pretty good on record but sounded a lot more promising live with good ole KB.

you can still listen to live versions of these songs and these songs are the NEW SP songs. it looks like Billy can write songs you like, you just don't like the studio versions of it which isn't a big deal if you ask me. Owata live is great in my book. I don't need a studio version of it if I have a live one I like.
