Christopher Lee has looked the same age since 1970. Like he's perpetually 90 years old.

redbreegull 12-21-2011 04:08 PM

I saw Christopher Lee in one of those behind the scenes production videos they released a few months back and he is looking pretty old.

Cetaceans are secondary aquatic mammals who, with the sirenians, are the only terrestrial mammals that have made a complete transition back to living in the sea. It is speculated that dolphins evolved from primitive ungulates or perhaps carnivores which foraged in coastal waters until finally adapting to a complete life in the sea between 50 to 70 million years ago.

I hope they use computer animation to put his head on a CGI body. Like in Star Wars.

I hope someone removes your head with a guillotine

Dead Frequency 12-21-2011 07:42 PM

How about a rusty bread knife

killtrocity 12-21-2011 07:43 PM

mercurial 12-21-2011 07:51 PM

dwarf musical looks great

redbreegull 12-21-2011 07:55 PM

looks like they will attempt to keep the sillier/less dark tone at points judging by the scene with the plates ricocheting around the table

SalemMass 12-22-2011 07:17 AM

Would have been better if he had made The Hobbit first (yes I know that was not feasible). Now it has to echo the tone of LOTR. Still, I am looking forward to seeing the result.

redbreegull 11-17-2012 11:44 PM

So this comes out in a few weeks. How do we feel about it being three movies/etc?

reprise85 11-17-2012 11:57 PM

the hobbit sucked

redbreegull 11-18-2012 12:12 AM

your opinion is wrong

Order 66 11-18-2012 12:27 AM

i hate to age myself but its probably approaching two decades since i read the hobbit... based on what i remember it seems weird it would take three full-length films to tell that story. unless it takes cues from the silmarillion or flashforwards to the lord of the rings trilogy? dunno whatever i look forward to it i guess

reprise85 11-18-2012 12:29 AM

ok it didnt suck but when i read it at about 12 y/o i expected it to be awesome and it was just average

TuralyonW3 11-18-2012 12:29 AM

Yeah Jackson says they're gonna use other Tolkien stuff

TuralyonW3 11-18-2012 12:30 AM

Reprise I remember you said u read fantasy. What are your absolute favorites?

redbreegull 11-18-2012 12:43 AM

I am very worried about the three movie thing. I thought they could fill in two movies with extra shit, mostly from the LOTR appendices... Saruman, White Council, Dol Guldur. Not in the Hobbit text itself, but it's canonical and it takes place concurrently. My guess is that they are going to just invent a lot of boring shit. I know they are adding at least two female characters, which is admirable and all, but I don't think it will work very well

i cant read them anymore, they trigger my ptsd hardcore. so i havent ready any in like 8-9 years. i was into dragonlance and other weis/hickman stuff (death gate cycle) and like... dragon prince/dragon star series (melanie rawn) and uhhhh i guess shadowrun if that counts? there were a lot more but my childhood is a black hole

slunken 11-18-2012 02:57 AM

i read a lot of terry brooks' shannara series in the 90s. and terry goodkind too.

redbreegull 11-18-2012 04:11 AM

isn't shannara just one huge ripoff of tolkien's shit

brendo_91 11-18-2012 04:39 AM

T&T 11-19-2012 07:33 AM

after seeing this yesterday, i have to say it's not too bad.
I recommend anyone who's enjoyed LOTR to go see this film.
