Banana was banned?

Didn't even notice.

Trotskilicious 12-19-2011 01:47 PM

no the stupid fucking giants lost because they are fucking idiots

Trotskilicious 12-19-2011 01:48 PM

still got two games left to get banana banned

i swear if the giants finish 7-9 it will be the most disappointing giants team i've ever watched and i'm including the Dave Brown/Danny Kannell/Kent Graham years and that one year Jim Fassel got shitcanned as well as the year it was looking like they could repeat until Plax shot himself

what's sad is that it's not like i didn't expect it, it's just that banana gets to be right and unbanned

Banana 12-19-2011 03:06 PM

Thing is you didn't expect it though. This is "the best Giants defense since the Super Bowl year" as you said. You thought the Giants were actually good this season when they got off to their annual quick good start over bad teams early in the season.

Anyway it kinda sucks that I need the Giants to that week 17 matchup so that the Eagles can win the division. But whatever, I'll take an Eagles Super Bowl run.

Trotskilicious 12-19-2011 03:13 PM

banana i know you consistently point back to that because you're an idiot but i predicted they would go exactly 8-8 and just because i said that the defense is the best its been since the super bowl doesn't mean it's good, it just means it's not as confusingly abysmal as it has been.

And technically speaking I should have said "since spagnoulo was coordinator" because it was pretty solid the year after that, until the team fell apart re: plax

fuck you are a motherfucking idiot jesus christ

Banana 12-19-2011 03:43 PM

Well the Giants defense has actually sucked a lot dick this season. Giants fans that I knew that actually watch the games and know what they are talking about want Perry Fewell out of there and a new defensive coordinator in. The only thing the Giants defense can do is get pressure on the QB with their defensive line.

Banana 12-19-2011 03:46 PM

How's that going to make you feel though if the Giants do win 8 games this season but the 8th win results in the Eagles winning the division?

LMAO, I can't wait for that shit to happen after we were sitting at 4-8.

Skradgee 12-19-2011 03:50 PM

Football!

MyOneAndOnly 12-19-2011 03:50 PM

any horror in the world would be worth it for you to be banned

so eat shit

yes, if the jets AND eagles win in week 16 and the giants AND eagles win in week 17 but that's incredibly unlikely. i'm not even kidding when i say that if the giants aren't playing for a playoff berth in wk 17, they will pretty much take the game off.

expect a lot fo dj ware up the middle

Like Philadelphia what? Philly always starts off the season pretty rough and then kicks it up and gets it going in November and December. This season they've been rough pretty much the entire year underachieving but are again starting to put it together late.

The Giants have become a joke with how they will jump out of the gate starting 6-1 or 6-2 and then like clockwork fall apart in the 2nd half of the season.

And the Eagles are all but eliminated? Not really.

All they have to do is win out, which they can easily do. And then they just need the Jets to beat the Giants, which I can see easily happening, and then for the Giants to beat the Cowboys in week 17 (which I see as the hardest thing to happen in this entire scenario). But if that happens then the Eagles take the division. All but eliminated, not at all.

Well first off both the Eagles and Giants game in week 17 is at the same time, so the Giants would have no idea if they are playing for a playoff birth or not.

2nd off Coughlin is going to be coaching for his job so I see no reason why he would concede and throw in the towel and start playing DJ Ware over Bradshaw. And I'd have to think that the Giants would like to play spoiler and make it so that the Cowboys aren't going to the playoffs along with them. That'd probably be a sweeter way of leaving the field then watching a rival celebrate and on their way to the playoffs after beating you.

how many people thought the chiefs were going to beat the undefeated packers yesterday, fresh off of firing their coach?

its certainly unlikely, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

also, the giants didn't have anything to play for in week 17 in 2007, and that didnt stop them from going all out against the patriots.

That's possible. I don't know when they have to make that decision, if they have to do it this week or next. If they make the decision next week I can't really see them doing that since it would most likely end up with the Giants playing a meaningless game and they'd rather opt for a game from the AFC West since that would be for the division.

Also doesn't change the fact that I can't see the Giants just laying down and letting the Cowboys have their victory cigar for the division during that game. And there's absolutely no reason at all for Coughlin to all of a sudden just rest his starters and not try to win when his job is absolutely on the line. Also I wouldn't trust the Cowboys in a big game to save my life.

Trotskilicious 12-19-2011 08:27 PM

i think coughlin is done if they don't make the playoffs

and you're pretty stupid indeed if you think the giants, who seem to be unable to care enough to beat the redskins to keep their division lead, would actually try and beat the cowboys when it doesn't matter

i mean maybe if they were playing for 8 wins and they knew you'd be banned they would

They just aren't a good team, that's why they lost to the Redskins.

Trotskilicious 12-19-2011 08:50 PM

but the eagles are great i know

subzero 12-19-2011 10:28 PM

the giants are woefully inconsistent, the disparity between their best and worst is very big.

the cowboys seem to always find a way to lose in a ridiculous manner

the eagles were a fundamentally bad team, but seem to be turning things around

Trotskilicious 12-20-2011 01:31 AM

jets are falling apart at the seams though

they do it by Monday, which means they will know whether the game matters or not by then. my point is that if the giants are playing for all the marbles or not, they will know by kickoff.

the giants have had huge injury problems since minicamp and continue to have more. that coughlin has gotten them this far should guarantee him another contract.

Nimrod's Son 12-20-2011 12:29 PM

i would say fire andy reid as he's the only coach in the nfc east who deserves it, but i like having him running the eagles into the ground every year

sppunk 12-20-2011 12:49 PM

Jason Garrett's a pretty shitty coach too.

Well if they don't flex the game then the Giants won't know by kickoff if they are playing for the division or not. Both NFC East games are at 1 that final week. And I don't see why they would flex the game if the Giants lose to the Jets and the Eagles beat the Cowboys.

LOL

Reid doesn't deserve to get fired, he definitly deserves atleast another year. But Coughlin definitly needs to go. This is the 3rd straight year the team has collapsed and will miss the playoffs after a quick start. Even the season after their Super Bowl when they got the #1 or #2 seed they stumbled down the stretch and the Eagles dominated them defensively twice in Jersey at end of the season and in the Giants first playoff game. The Giants have some talent but when they keep collapsing like they have done for years now then you gotta look at the coach and make the change.

But I'm more than fine with Coughlin sticking around.
