I think I am going to make some chili today

I've never made chili before but I don't believe its going to be hard at all....the only thing that may be hard is finding out how to make it "paleo" for my fagot roommates

yo soy el mejor 12-09-2011 03:54 PM

don't forget the kidney beans, bro.

Elvis The Fat Years 12-09-2011 03:57 PM

beans don't belong in chili.

Chili I had coming up always had beans in it...I was never really a fan.

my vegetarian friend made chili with nothing but different types of beans and some other junk. it was actually pretty good. i need to be in a safe area when i eat chili; to put it politely... chili really messes with my stomach.

When I make chili it's usually for a large number of people and I usually make two batches. One is all meat (pork, lamb and beef) and the other is vegetarian (bean party).

Toby 12-09-2011 04:22 PM

I'm doing a beef and sausage chili SANS the beans...

sppunk 12-09-2011 04:27 PM

Chili does not and should not have beans. If you do that, might as well put Jolly Rachers inside a pot pie.

sppunk 12-09-2011 04:33 PM

But people outside the southwest tend to not agree. Boo.

Trotskilicious 12-09-2011 04:57 PM

that's silly sppunk

Paleo actually isn't too hard to get the hang of. Just keep in mind you're focusing mostly on protein from meats high in fat and cutting out processed grains/carbs. Obviously it's more than that, but that's a good chunk of it. You can easily make an awesome paleo chili!

yo soy el mejor 12-09-2011 05:30 PM

it's like, keep your pickyness to yourself, ya know.

Trotskilicious 12-09-2011 05:33 PM

you're the picking shitbrains that won't eat bacon because you're not a glutton

go hell

yo soy el mejor 12-09-2011 05:35 PM

Toby 12-09-2011 07:28 PM

Elvis The Fat Years 12-09-2011 07:39 PM

there is right and wrong in this world.

ketchup doesn't belong on a hotdog

a steak should never be cooked "well done"

deep dish pizza isn't pizza

the best BBQ is in south carolina

and real chili doesn't have beans

Traditional chili contains no beans, it is a Texas-staple dish adopted from western/Mexican culture.

I'm just messing around really, but I am a foodie and sucker for traditional methods of preparation. His is like when people slather barbecue with sauce, fuck that noise but to each their own.

MyOneAndOnly 12-09-2011 09:53 PM

i like when people say they like BBQ. when they really mean that they like grilling hamburgers or chicken breasts covered in Open Pit BBQ Sauce.

slow and low or it ain't BBQ, mutherfucker! And leave the sauce in the bottle on the table.
