I lived in my car for 2 months after I moved back to the states. Truck stop showers are the worst.

I decided to move to los angeles relatively recently, and finding a place has been a lot trickier than i thought it was going to be. the application process is just a lot more serious and lengthy than it ever was for me when I was living in Boston.

But! I got approved for this place I looked at today and just need to do a little more paperwork. It's got a balcony with an ocean view and its nice and big. Really nice upgrade from my car/this horrible horrible motel.

Gash that's fancy, does the sign outside say "color tv". Because you know a hotel is crappy if one of their offered amenities is a color tv.

the weird thing is like, i looked it up online and read reviews before i booked the place. it got meh reviews, but no one at all mentioned that it's clearly a hotel for hookers. all the walls are mirrors, theres a spotlight on the bed, and the tv only plays porn.

the room is about 35 bucks a night, so its not a bad deal since it includes porn and a bed and a terrible shower.

the porn is pretty bad in general though, most of it seems like its from the 80s. its funny because i dont keep it running in the background of what im doing, but if i get bored i just flip the tv on and check out whats happening. i recently caught the beginning of Pimp My Ass 2 and also Manila Exposed 3.

What im really excited about getting an apartment for is being able to cook and eat regular food again. I've been buying really cheap, large portion take out kind of food so i can eat a bit of it and spread it out over a few days, but its taking a serious toll on my general health.

so i woke up today covered in tiny bites. its either fleas or bedbugs from the damn hooker motel. i self-fumigated my car and have all my clothes in the wash right now. goddamn.

on a more positive note, i'm signing my lease tomorrow so all this madness can end :)
