Go outside and look at the moon right now
 

I don't know if it's just area specific or what, but it's amazing. Huge fucking circle/ring indescribable natural phenomenon going on right now. Came home from the bars with some friends and out our one buddies place after almost tackling some deer we look up and notice it.


We literally looked up and watched and discussed what we were seeing for at least 30-45 minutes. We've seen anything like it before, it's amazing. I called my buddy up in Alaska to see if he could see it and it wasn't present up there. I called a girl in Texas that happens to post here as well and she couldn't see it. So I don't know if it's just my area or what, but you need to go outside and look because it's one of the most awe inspiring thing I've seen, and I've seen some awe inspiring shit before.

Also side note my one friend looked it up and said apparently due to some old indian wives tale if you see how many stars are inside the circle then that is how many days until a winter storm hits. We could count 4-7 stars, so I'm eager to see if that's true or not.

well ya doofus this is because of ice particles in the upper atmosphere refracting light arriving from the surface of the moon.

I thought this was going to be a kind of " go look at the moon, we are connected across space because we are looking at the same thing" thread.

...and there was me thinking it was a dodgy Photoshop lens flare.
