My heritage is largely Jewish and both my parents were raised that way. Growing up my family celebrated both Chanukah and Christmas and then both eventually faded out. Never been to Jew school, never supported Israel, never been bar mitzvahed, never read the Old Testament, never worn a Jew hat. So I don't identify with it at all, but technically I guess I am since my mother is.

Non practicing as my mothers half (lebanese) was christian and she ran the religious part of the family. But was raised aware of jewish heritage on my dads side of the family.

Historically speaking the land belonged the jews long before the term palestine was even used and long before the palestinians as agroup of people even existed.... and Jewish occupation of this land pre-dates Islam as a religion by over 1000 years. Jews occupied that land before Islam was even a twinkle of Muhammad's eye and therefor existed long before the religion of islam laid claim to this area as their holy land.

Also the jews didn't take back their land, it was given back to them by the united nations headed not by the US, but England. Commonly ignored fact.

Technically 1/2 Jewish, but the superior genes are so strong I've been gettin "Are you Jewish?" my whole life. My new boss just called me out for being Jewish the other day.

I got more of my lebanese genes. Dark, thick hair, lebanese jawline, etc etc but got Israeli complexion.

as I've grown older I've started to get closer to my dads side of the family. Visited Tel Aviv earlier this year and part of 2009 and really had a blast. Really developed an appreciation for Israeli girls as well.
