I listened to that blobs fucking song but I really hate weird release formats, haven't heard the other stuff they've been doing. I need to try listening to this, but damn that sounds like a time investment :0

I will admit, of all the songs they've put out this year, I only thought 7 of them were of quality. Free form jamming and experimental things are nice, but I didn't think it was very interesting. Embryonic was interesting; these songs were not.

But in contrast, this is the most interesting of them so far. Yeah, it's mostly a jam, but it's at least interesting. Lots of weird guitar effects... Apparently, the song completely changes too, but I'm only at 1:31:30 so far.

The oddball releases are pretty cool in my opinion. Music released on a USB drive, encased in a life-size gummy-skull? You have to eat it to get to the music? That's fucking cool.

They better have a sugar free kind. I have the diabeetus.

Do it on a day where you know you're going to be staying home, lazing around not doing anything all day. I do it quite often.

Wayne was right, it's good background music. If you try to "listen intently" to it, you'd probably go mad. But there's interesting dynamic shifts, although it's over long periods of time. :/
