Am I the only one who liked Trip My Wire or whatever that song is on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack? I haven't heard it in years but I remember really liking it live.

you guys should also listen to androgyny now that you're older
like i figure most of us are softer on top 40 and R & B and its actually kind of awesome despite the dopey lyrics |
you best of mix guys are also ignoring the world is not enough
that's a mistake |

The band sounded solid, really tight. Shirley was a little off - and was super, super chatty between songs. Debate ensued as to just how drunk she was. We're talking 30 seconds to a minute of chatter between each song. Concluded that she wasn't that drunk, as she was very self-aware of how talkative she was being. Anyways, she came out for the encore - they did about 3/4 of "As Heaven Is Wide" then she flubbed the lyrics, and they stopped it. She was griping about how it wasn't her fault, etc - then the band decided to not start it over again, despite her wanting to. They then tried THREE times to start the next song (a new one, "Man on a Wire" - only knew that because she wanted to play that) but she kept missing the vocal cue to start, despite the fact that the guitar dude was yelling and pointing at her when it was her time to start. She argued that she was indeed in the right, and they were wrong... it got kind of heated for a second. Could tell there was some tension. Well, they ended up scrapping that, then doing "Vow" and calling it a night. Really weird end to the show, but was obvious that it needed to wrap up. Long story short: glad it was free, as had I paid $35 at the door for me and the wife, it would have been far from worth it, sadly. Cool to see Butch Vig in action. |
I saw them a few weeks back in Richmond and they were spot on. Sean is correct, one of the best singles acts from the 90s and the BeautifulGarbage album is alot better than people made it out to be when it came out.

i listened to the first 4 tracks from BG the other day and enjoyed them.

this seems to happen a lot- she misses queues and flubs lyrics often. part of the charm, despite the fact that the band is usually spot on, flawlessly tight. |
they are on tour with screaming females that is okay
