anybody getting a 3DS sunday?
its worth its own thread i think.
anybody ready to game in THREEDEE. and what games are you going to get. the launch lineup is pretty meh so i'm not sure. leaning towards star wars lego whatever but i dunno. |
$250? yeesh. i guess if you've already got an xbox 360, ps3, and a wii, and you really like video games... but that seems kind of expensive, no?
|
still undecided. The most I'm looking forward to at launch are the AR card games, so I'll probably sit it out. Checked it out at Bestbuy, but all you could try out was Pilotwings, and they have it set up at midget height.
You know, for kids. |
i'd rather buy a ps3 in anticipation for the new mortal kombat
 also the two screen thing has never appealed to me |

normally i wait about a year or two when systems come out before i buy them but 1) its in 3d. that's just too cool to pass up, and 2) my gut tells me it'll be sold out most of this year so, may as well get it now. i almost pre-orded one or two more to sell online during the holidays. but i probably can't swing that right now |

maybe i've just seen the wrong 3d movies but it already seems overused to me |
i was always enamored by the idea of 3D games. yeah movies overuse it but if used right like avatar it can make for a cool experience. not expecting to get my mind blown on every game but it seems like the perfect stoner system
|
well that could definitely be true

Go to the playstation store and download it for free. You only get to play four matches. The controls, as far as i remember, are exactly the same as the old super nintendo version. It's the only reason I've been kicking ass with Scorpion... because I remember the controls. Anyone know if the game will have online play?
|
GET OVER HERE
|
i play online. whiteguyswithblackcocks.com Ask for Juan and ill give you a good time.
|
Nintendo and Sony didn't get the memo.
iPhone and Android are going to slaughter the handheld gaming market as we know it. |
3ds you say
|
i saw one of these in the store yesterday. some dude was giving a demo. I played a bit of streetfighter or something. it was pretty cool. it works much better when you are actually holding it and not watching it.
It was rad. Not mind blowing, but pretty rad. i'd consider getting one to kill time at work or something if i had the spare cash, but i dont. |

is it still the same as it was for sega? |

yuck no
|
isn't it essentially a handheld n64? yay, for looking like a dork playing a video game experience from 15 years ago. might as well play games on your phone.
|
I miss Super Nintendo :(

i haven''t even looked at the thing, but if this is nintendo releasing extremely dated hardware with a gimmick to move units than this is getting a little tiresome.
|
i don't think 3d on a portable gaming system is outdated. and even if it didn't have that how would it be more dated than the psp?
what are you going on about moonman |
in all seriousness i think it has the graphics of a gimped xbox 360 - which places it above wii and psp. which, for a portable under $300, is pretty good.

and the 3DS is as i understand pretty much slightly updated N64 remakes with 3D thrown in as a gimmick, while the PSP has been playing games that are better than PS2 quality for years. i've never played a psp. |
