etting more and more crazy? I ask because I am interested in giving it a shot. Figure the morning is a good time to start. Essentially what I'm going for is like that episode of Futurama where Fry gets so much caffeine in him he starts experiencing time completely differently. I may not transcend the regular clutches of human perception, but I'd like to give it a shot. So will that happen if I just keep drinking tons of coffee all day?

And will I get a hangover (assuming I ever fall asleep)?

ATS 08-14-2010 11:16 AM

i heard coffee makes ur dick shrink

duovamp 08-14-2010 11:20 AM

Gotta pay to play.

applepwnz 08-14-2010 12:00 PM

Drinking too much caffeine will make you just feel all jittery. It happened to me that time that I pounded 3 16ounce energy drinks in a row.

Eulogy 08-14-2010 12:38 PM

no. some days i pretty much drink coffee consistently from when i wake up to about 3-5 p.m. I have found that if I drink more after that point, it does affect my ability to fall asleep.

purrrrrsnickety 08-14-2010 12:50 PM

All I know is that, unlike beer, I can't drink coffee on an empty stomach. It makes me feel really sick if I do.

Gish08 08-14-2010 01:38 PM

coffee = acidityyyyyy

duovamp 08-14-2010 02:33 PM

Not getting anywhere yet. My hope was that it would improve my StarCraft II micro, but it's not really changed much. However I have developed a pretty nice stomach ache! But I haven't peed anything out yet, so my body must still be harnessing the caffeine's effect.

Also I made the situation much worse by eating a bag of popcorn.

I think I'm going to get a few more cups in just to really push it to the limit.

Dead Frequency 08-14-2010 04:52 PM

move up to crack

redbreegull 08-14-2010 04:54 PM

I think that theoretically you could intake enough caffeine to make your heart explode, but it has never happened to me personally.

duovamp 08-14-2010 04:54 PM

I peed and it smelled very strongly of coffee.

duovamp 08-14-2010 05:05 PM

VERY strongly.

duovamp 08-15-2010 01:19 AM

I have, but I don't think it was the coffee shit. That'll probably be tomorrow morning.

Order 66 08-15-2010 01:52 AM

I would just take adderall or something

I've overdone it on caffeine and it wasn't pleasant

duovamp 08-15-2010 01:55 AM

It was really just an added benefit to getting to drink delicious coffee very frequently. Those drugs scare me. I won't put anything in my body that isn't marked property of Caine Walker.

Caine Walker 08-15-2010 02:30 AM

i can work with this.

I'm Hardcore 08-15-2010 02:54 AM

caffeine overload feels uncomfortable.

depends if you're drinking arabica (espresso) or robusta (instant) coffee.

If you drink espresso at a rate of more than one an hour, you will not have any more energy than normal (espresso coffee has less caffeine in it than english breakfast tea - I find it hilarious that 80% of adults are addicted to a caffeine placebo). You will start to feel shitty before too long though, and your bowels will suffer for weeks afterwards because it's a diuretic. Also there is a good chance you'll do harm to your liver.

If you do it with instant, you will hit a caffeine overload pretty soon, and then you'll feel so awful that the regret will stop you ever doing anything that stupid again. And then you won't be able to sleep for a while, which will infuriate you endlessly.

Is it true that espresso has less caffeine than regular coffee? | Coffee and Caffeine FAQ

Quote:

An espresso cup has about as much caffeine as a cup of strong coffee. But servings for espresso are much smaller. Which means that the content of caffeine per milliliter are much higher than with a regular brew.
Quote:

Here's the caffeine content of Drip/Espresso/Brewed Coffee:

Drip 115-175 (7 oz cup)
Espresso 100 1 serving (1-2oz)
Brewed 80-135 (7 oz cup)
Quote:

TEA (one tea bag or equivalent in 8oz cup), from Stash Tea Website

Black Tea 40mg

duovamp 08-15-2010 09:22 AM

Yeah, espresso is like a super tiny little cup of ultra disgustingly thick caffeine death.

I was drinking instant coffee.

Also around 6:30 I came down super super hard and it was horrible. Stomach hurt, I felt almost car sick, I kept yawning, I was dizzy and tired. But then I pounded down some jawesome sushi and felt great!!

duovamp 08-15-2010 09:24 AM

Oh, I think I get what you're saying, you mean like a Starbucks tall vanilla latte only has one shot of espresso in it?

hahaha what a fag

Astur 08-15-2010 09:59 AM

I've been drinking coffee since 11 or 12, and after many years the only thing it does (in joint cooperation with cigarrettes) is giving me explosive diarrhea if I wake up early in the morning. If I don't drink it I may feel sleepy, but the effect of whatever has become my normal state so it's quite worthless as of now

Right, but the caffeine content of that would still be roughly equivalent to a 6-8 oz. serving of coffee. And it would certainly have more than English breakfast tea. I don't know where Sonic Johnny got that idea.

I have! I didn't get anything, but I tasted a couple of different kinds. Don't remember which ones though.

duovamp 08-15-2010 10:39 AM

I took a whiff of like ten different flavors. I wanted every damn one, but yeah, it was like 15 bucks for a freakin' spoonful. >_< I don't think I tasted a bunch, they only had maybe 3 or 4 flavors out.

akaneironokaze 08-15-2010 01:57 PM

cocaine is now america's modern cup of coffee, why bother?

I'm Hardcore 08-15-2010 06:32 PM
