Please help me figure out what the name of this TV show was.
It ran for awhile either in the late 1980s or early 1990s. I think it was on USA network but I'm not completely sure. Anyway, it was this sci-fi show about a family who ended up in some kind of alternate universe. I specifically remember one episode where the mother was buying food for her family and everything in the store was generic. There was a can simply labeled "meat" and when she asked the store clerk what kind of meat it was, he was dumbfounded, saying that there was only one kind. The opening sequence of the show showed the family (or someone) running along in the desert and finding a pryamid that had the eye at the top like the pyramid on the back of one dollar bills. I would at least like to know the name of the show so I can find out more about it. Thanks for your help!
