so i tried the KFC doubledown

my hangover went away automatically. When I first saw it I was disappointed and it was difficult to eat in sandwich form. But my god it was amazing. I'd planned on nibbling on it and eating it throughout the week cos it was so fattening but one bite I couldn't stop. It is pretty gross and it is unhealthy but of you compare it to other fast food items its not so bad. as long as I don't eat anything else today and hit the treadmill I should be okay. I hope

9.5/10 would buy from them again

Eulogy 04-18-2010 02:17 PM

I've been contemplating it pretty much daily. Haven't broken down yet, mostly because I'm not sure I'll like it. I don't see how it'd be worse for you than say, a chicken sandwich and a 4-piece nugget or something. Right? I mean obviously it's not good for you, but a trip to Five Guys is probably just as bad.

But I like buns, so I dunno if I wanna waste money on it.

:-/

It depends on what kind of taste you have for sodium. I'm kind of a crackhead for that kind of stuff especially if I've drank too much he night before. So this is like my mecca

Its basically chicken cordon bleu with bacon. And lol at the blogs I'm reading right now about. The comments are like OMG SO HORRIBLE 4 U but its relatively healthy considering what it is. I think that mcdonalds Angus burger has well over a thousand callories and this has 500

exactlythesame 04-18-2010 02:31 PM

i don't like the idea of like, just grasping a chick breast directly as the medium of the sandwich, but... i guess it's no different than eating a piece of fried chicken with your bare hands

i don't know about all this yet

duovamp 04-18-2010 02:31 PM

Is it vegan friendly?

Order 66 04-18-2010 02:35 PM

I think so

Eulogy 04-18-2010 02:42 PM

The bacon is probably terrible.

I think I'll go with Subway instead. Sweet onion chicken or somethin'.

Man, I wish they'd allow KFC to sell them in Europe.

Future Boy 04-18-2010 02:51 PM

I'm waiting for Popeyes to come out with something.

Eulogy 04-18-2010 03:03 PM

I had KFC in London once and it was pretty stupid. The fries were gross. Wedges ftw.

pale_princess 04-18-2010 03:33 PM

the canadian kfc fries aren't all that. but kfc makes a decent poutine.

i want to try a double down if i can next time i visit america.

murgle 04-18-2010 03:34 PM

my friends tried it the other day. One had grilled, the other had fried. Apparently, it has fewer calories than a McD's chicken sandwich.

Still don't think I'm going to run out and try it...

Order 66 04-18-2010 03:35 PM

a popeyes variation of the doubledown would be godly. But their menu items are always pretty standard so I won't hold my breath

Also I wanted to add for people who might try this, go ahead and get fried one instead of grilled. I haven't tried the grilled but IMO having a grilled version is pointless since its pretty much just as unhealthy (about a 100 calories less, even more sodium)

hnibos 04-18-2010 04:02 PM

I'm going to get this doubledown this week. I'm excited.

I always get the sausage biscuits with cheese, so I'm not familiar with mcdonald's bacon.

Shallowed 04-18-2010 04:56 PM

"Double Down" sounds like a the name of a sex position.

TuralyonW3 04-18-2010 05:12 PM

wendy's new bleu cheese bacon burger is good

whenever i think about fast food chicken i think about hormones and huge crates of chickens where they shit on each other and drink pure ammonia and consume a ground up corn meal/chicken beak mix for nutrient

i think peta ruined chicken for me. im not gonna retaliate by hating them or "eating 3 animals" or w/e but i wish they hadnt done this to me

i still eat meat anyway

Luke's Wall 04-19-2010 01:38 AM

Is it called the double down because you'll need to flush twice?

Order 66 04-19-2010 01:46 AM

eating meat is immoral but what am I going to do? Go vegan ? Fuck that. I have vegan friends and respect their decision but asking me not to eat meat is like asking me to get a vasectomy. the world would be better off if I did it but its too much of a commitment

Luke de Spa 04-19-2010 09:42 AM

nothing is immoral

enjoy death. you can't help it

duovamp 04-19-2010 09:46 AM

Yeah I wouldn't bother making social contracts with dead food tbh.

duovamp 04-19-2010 09:53 AM

If you can even call dead things dead. :hanging:

hnibos 04-19-2010 09:53 AM

Caine Walker 04-19-2010 09:59 AM
