So, my girlfriend just broke up with me

Stating that she got to know "someone else". While visiting me at home, where I'm lying in bed with the flu.
Now that's what I call propriety...
Well, at least now I know what to do with all my cough syrup.

Just wanted to let you know, there's not much else going on around here.
How are you guys doing?

28if 02-12-2010 09:02 AM

sorry mo

redbull 02-12-2010 09:08 AM

eat her skin!!!!

Mo 02-12-2010 09:12 AM

Yeah, no, she's not big on lotions.

smashingjj 02-12-2010 09:14 AM

I'm doing pretty great, I've been having contact with a hot Austrian chick lately and it's going pretty well.

Mo 02-12-2010 09:15 AM

You sneaky bastard.

In all seriousness though, Joeri, a friend of mine is in Groningen right now. If you ever run into a brown-haired Austrian chick named Susi, say hello from me, will you?

smashingjj 02-12-2010 09:18 AM

is it a he or a she?

Maarten lives in Groningen.

smashingjj 02-12-2010 09:18 AM

What a charmer.

waltermcphilp 02-12-2010 10:18 AM

Time for you to go gay.

Sonic Johnny 02-12-2010 10:27 AM

sorry, mobro. Was this the girl you were talking about a few months back who you'd been seeing for ages? or is that done with? I can't remember.

Mo 02-12-2010 11:12 AM

Oh, not at all. I've only known this girl since August, we started dating in December.
Maybe that's the reason this doesn't bother me as much as it probably should. Still, damn fucking shame.

waltermcphilp 02-12-2010 11:48 AM

Was she hot?

Mo 02-12-2010 11:49 AM

Yeah, she was actually really good-looking. But much more importantly, she was intelligent. I'm gonna miss that.

sickbadthing 02-12-2010 12:04 PM

Getting dumped sucks. At least it was short and she gave you a reason.

Mo 02-12-2010 12:20 PM

True, true.

waltermcphilp 02-12-2010 12:23 PM

Now you gotta get buff so next time she sees you she's like "wow you look amazing" and then you punch her in the vagina.

ATS 02-12-2010 12:39 PM

she probably got sick of your hypochondriac bullshit

RopeyLopey 02-12-2010 12:45 PM

maybe she got some flu from you on the way out to pass it onto that 'someone else'.
I was in Vienna for two half-days (travelling through Schwechat) in January. I went to the Impressionism exhibition in Albertina. It was OK and there was a lot of people. Then I went to the National Gallery in Prague to see their pre-20th century paintings' collection and the house was totally empty (well actually the whole Prague), although their works by Rubens, Durer, or Rembrandt are quite sights as well. In Vienna the entrance was 9.50 Euro, in Prague I paid like 5 Euro. I don't know what they are doing differently in Vienna.

Now you have there some Vermeer exhibition I think.

Mo 02-12-2010 12:47 PM

You didn't tell me you were coming :(

no, I didn't. Well, two half-days is actually an exaggeration. Few hours between the plane and bus would be more accurate, and we wanted to see the exhibition with not much time left for anything else.
I moved back to Europe, so these trips might be more frequent now. Although not coming back to Netphoria too frequently, I still remember the network of contacts ;).

Mo 02-12-2010 01:02 PM

Just let me know the next time you're here and got some time.

I will. BTW is Severin still following the plan of visiting one EU country's capital every year?

Mo 02-12-2010 01:14 PM

I'm pretty sure he is. I mean, right now they're probably mostly concerned with planning their wedding, but yeah, they traveling quite a bit. Lucky bastards.

oh he is getting married? All the best to them! For some reason I thought Severin is one of the people who could easily go without the ceremony.

redbull 02-12-2010 01:18 PM

woah severin got engaged?

it's at least one capital per year, and we (my girl and me) are still doing this. have some duplicates by now. last year we did prague, budapest, bratislava, rome (for the 2nd time) and paris (for the 2nd time). this year we don't know yet, since we're getting married in september and will then do a 2 week trip to asia, so travel budgets are a bit on the low side...

where have you moved to in europe?

oh, here's the man - I am happy for you, Severin - you're a good guy and it is nice to see things are going well for you.
What do you think of Paris? How would you rate in comparison to Rome?
Where do you go to Asia?

I live in a small town (6,000) in Estonia with my gf. Life is good and I have nothing to complain about. If you ever hit Tallinn, let me know - it could be a good combo with Helsinki with a ferry trip between them ;)

Mo 02-12-2010 01:31 PM

Please, for the love of god, don't ask about his honeymoon trip. It's eating me up inside every time I think about it...

Mo 02-12-2010 01:32 PM

How come you moved to Estonia?
