not a rant at you, in particular. A rant in general.

What I tried to say was that being liked by a certain subculture has no effect on my opinion on music. At least I hope so, I did find Muse fans to be dicks in general once upon a time and it did sour my feelings towards the band back then.

I'm done arguing. English is not my first language, I don't always come across as well as I'd like to.

myosis 10-16-2009 07:08 PM

i never said the bands i named were overrated

Or maybe they just find it tiresome to listen to overcompressed clipping macbook-internal-soundcard recorded garage minimalist trash with occasional "ironic" 808, DX7 and handclaps thrown in for a good measure just because 1988-born pitchfork writers say it's more ironic to do than to listen to all those overproduced 90's dinosarus?

Neil Young Update!

SO FAR I like the following albums: Life (87) & Harvest Moon (92)

one of my fave songs now is "Dreamin' Man". what a beautiful fucking song.

also i like the following songs to varying degrees:
albuquerque, borrowed tune, capt kennedy, come on baby let's go downtown, emperor of wyoming, hangin' on a limb, heart o gold, here we are in years, hey hey my my, if i could have her tonight, ive been waiting for you, my my hey hey, needle and the damage done, old man, pocahontas, powderfinger, rockin' in the free world, sedan delivery, someday, thrasher, too far gone (both versions), and wrecking ball

Caine Walker 11-13-2009 12:15 PM

I found Isn't Anything amongst random cheap-o CDs at a Cargo Largo for $3 and, even though I had it on my hard drive, I bought the CD because I couldn't bear letting it just sit there unappreciated.:smoke:

i can't imagine ever wanting/needing to hear any nirvana song ever again. probably aged the worst out of what i used to like.

even if somewhere someone discovers like 100 tapes of all new, never ever heard cobain solo demos, i'd fucking pass. his voice is the bane of my existence.

Trotskilicious 11-13-2009 07:26 PM

i don't think not being into nirvana is particularly unusual

slunken 11-13-2009 07:27 PM

When nevermind came out i was listening to the weird al version. I'm a late bloomer :(
