God it's been almost 5 or 6 months...

Now he's almost DEAD:

Quote:

Dennis Hopper, who's been battling prostate cancer for several months, is gravely ill, his lawyer says, and will likely never be healthy enough to be deposed by his estranged wife's legal team.

Whether the new assessment on Hopper's health amounts to legal posturing by attorney Joseph Mannis in the actor's bitter divorce case remains to be seen. But it matches the speculation that has been coming out of Hollywood lately that the "Easy Rider" star's situation is grave.

Hopper abruptly filed papers to divorce his wife Victoria Duffy as his cancer became known, and her legal team is now contesting portions of the couple's prenuptial.

Mannis filed a report by oncologist David B. Agus saying Hopper barely weighs 100 pounds and cannot speak for long periods of time, reported E! Online.

Hopper, 72, is scheduled to make a rare public appearance today to receive a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, but Mannis says he will be in a wheelchair and require assistance.

Hopper has a restraining order against Duffy, barring her from coming within 10 feet of him or his three children from previous relationships. They have a 6-year-old daughter together, whom Hopper is allowed to visit with for two hours a day.

sweet!

What is a few short years to live in hell. That is all I get around here.

No more I will pay the bills.

No more I will drive the car.

No more I will wash, iron & mend any clothes.

No more I will have to eat the leftover articles that was cooked the day before.

This is no way to live.

Either is it any way to die.

Her grub I can not eat.

At night I can not sleep.

I married the wrong nag-nag-nag and I lost my life.

Holy crap he took a long time to die.

Hollywood hellraiser Dennis Hopper dead at 74 - Celebrities - TODAY Show

Fuckin' jerk.

Toast 05-29-2010 02:07 PM

People usually die in triple during an unspecified duration between them?

Corganist 05-29-2010 02:48 PM

Weird. I randomly put on True Romance last night for the first time in a while. I had forgotten how awesome the "Sicilian" scene with he and Walken is.

But then he had to go be in "An American Carol," so he had to be punished with death.

Order 66 05-29-2010 04:50 PM

I saw an American carol and it had to be the worst movie I've seen in a very long time. and not because its supposed to bash liberals or whatever

Catherine Wheel 05-29-2010 04:53 PM

Does anyone remember him from Land of the Dead? Thought he was really good in that as the corrupt businessman.

sickbadthing 05-29-2010 05:17 PM

That was a really bad movie.

Order 66 05-29-2010 05:53 PM

I liked him in super Mario bros. I need to pick that up on DVD someday.

One of those 'its so terrible its entertaining' things

I thought the part with the zombies was pretty cool

Order 66 05-29-2010 07:25 PM

Land of the dead was pretty shitty in light of dawn of the dead (or whichever one was set in a mall)

Catherine Wheel 05-29-2010 08:40 PM

I agree that Dawn of the Dead was probably better. Rumble Fish is another great overlooked performance by him. The scene where he is in the diner with Dillon and Rourke is classic.

Rider 05-29-2010 09:20 PM

The man was in so many great movies and every keeps mentioning the few truly horrible movies the guy made.

Order 66 05-29-2010 09:37 PM

Besides super Mario bros he's never been in anything good

ChristHimself! 05-31-2010 05:11 AM

fuck that shit. pabst blue ribbon.
