ooo! I have one:

University Bureaucracy

- Hello, I am a University Counselor, and I don't know fuck about what your University program is doing for your future. On top of that, I will do my best to ensure that you have as difficult a time as possible completing your module by changing course numbers and making sure that your program requirements are difficult to understand. Of course, despite all your education being highly ambiguous to your choice of career, it is now of utmost importance that you suck your professors cock so that you can graduate in the top tier of your class or else you shall be excluded from all but the hottest and noisiest jobs. Are you having a problem with a grad-school application? fuck if I can help you! Despite the fact that my job requires a heavy resume of post-secondary education, I do not know shit about pointing anyone in the right direction let alone what post-grad programs are looking for!

I have an HSA plan too...
but I have a $3000 deductable....

but I don't have monthly prescriptions (yet) so it's a good deal for me. I have about 4,000 in my bank account from my company contibutions over the past year and a half (I have had a lot of doctors appts and bloodwork done lately which is going to cost me... but my insurance pays 100% preventative which is what a lot of that crap is coded)

you can't use your HSA to pay for your chiropractor? I was under the impression you could use it for whatever medical reasons you wanted... even benedyrl or lasik or something.

i can but since it just started, there's not really any money in the account (there was some but i used it on one chiropractor appt)

fluxequalsrad 06-17-2009 01:06 AM

don't waste your money on a chiropractor - sure it feels good right away, but if you are just stretch regularly and stay active back pain can be conquered over time. plus a sack of weed a week only costs $30.

YSEM 06-17-2009 01:45 AM

sometimes i really want someone to pop my back. that's when a bf would come in handy. oh wells.

re: Autopay insurance... I dunno what bank you have, but both of my banks (Wells Fargo and WaMu/Chase) allow you to send free checks online and set them up to auto send to an address. So.. set that up.

my brother moving away sucks. but he's moving for a really great job, so that sucks less for him.

YSEM 06-17-2009 10:45 AM

waiting for water to boil would have to be one of the most boring and frustrating exercises known to man.

ah... yeah... once the money starts to build up it'll seem like more of a deal. also you can contribute your own money to your HSA as well--from your pay check, I believe.. it's pre-tax so you would be saving money that way as well.

I am probably going to switch to an HMO or something if I ever get pregnant, but the HSA stuff is a good deal if you are relatively healthy

Thaniel Buckner 06-18-2009 02:54 AM

i just checked my work email to see if there have been any recent major happenings that i should know about, and my supervisor sent me a recorded call from like two weeks ago where i said "whatever" to a customer who was being a petulant bitch. apparently the dude called back and made a stink about it just to get me in trouble.

i have no idea what i'll face tomorrow but...whatever.

i don't think so. all the oracle books i see here at work look a lot bigger. luckily i've never had to read any.

dude, that's exactly it. I use a kettle to boil water for coffee etc, fucking takes forever.
life would be far easier if i somehow magically needed to take a shit every time i made coffee. this would solve my problem.

a cup of coffee always works for me

I'm Hardcore 06-18-2009 09:16 AM

you might suggest a plane ticket to Panama so we can re-create havoc

mxzombie 06-18-2009 09:23 AM

that would be awesome. if my life's savings at this point amounted to more than $35, then i might have suggested it. we could run wild, it's like the old west over here.

I'm Hardcore 06-18-2009 09:35 AM

next time man :)
