Remember he's getting into scientology now, and used to be into Jeebus for a while. These people think religion does the trick and they find no need for professional help, or despise it altogether.

If he was already getting therapy, he would've been prescribed pills so he could stop being so hyper and impulsive, and his ADD would be gone (i.e., wouldn't come up with 100 projects that come to naught, or do out-of-character things that he would have never done 3 years ago.)

with borderline personality disorder, and a plethora of other mental illnesses I really think the only treatment for him would be electric shock therapy. but then he could wake up and not know the entire discography for SP. it might be better to just keep him crazy and mean. he already fucks dirty girls. just leave the guy be.

I agree that Corgan has a lot of issues. Hasn't he sought various types of therapy (both "talk" and chemical varieties), on and off, throughout his entire adult life? I wonder how much it helped? He may have gone through these different therapies like dishrags, however...meaning he never fully committed himself to any particular type for an extended period of time. None of these things will help you in the long-term unless you basically commit to help yourself through the different management tools you have been given. It takes effort on your part.

Scientology is SO fucking stupid though. I seriously hope he doesn't go down that path. It disses the psychologists yet an integral part of scientology--"auditing"--is basically just a cross between catholic confessional and 1950's style psychotherapy sessions...under the guise of some glorified metaphysical process. There are reasons why this may actually work for some individuals pretty well...but it sure as hell has nothing to do with liberating your inner alien! (Uh oh...now that I think about it...this shit sounds like it might be right up Corgan's alley! Corgan...now a scientologist...you heard it here, folks!)

Yeah, the "celebrity" ones do. And they get the perks that go along with it. From what I gather the celebrity experience is completely different from that of the regular person off the street who decides to get involved in the organization and gets conned into buying thousands of dollars worth of their copyrighted reading materials.

It would be totally out of character... scientology is a verifiable cult. BC is a little nutty but he's not stupid (as in, he wouldn't waste his money). Hopefully there are other reasons he wouldn't go tom cruise on us, too...
