I'd think that maybe it's the biblical Jacob and his brother, or maybe Cain and Abel. But, honestly, I think those types are minor players by this point. It's freakin God vs. Devil. Or Good vs. Evil without the religious cononations ("We've gone by many names, blah blah blah.").
Jacob was very God-like. Always helpinig people at critical moments in their lives - saving Sayid, trying to divert Sawyer and Kate from their dark destinies, givng Hugo comfort, giving Jack a candy bar that got stuck. And the fact that he brought Locke back to life (motherfucker was dead when he fell out, I mean, really.) And he kept talking about choice and free will. Hell, he was wearing white. Also Ben dropped a Moses reference on him.
Other guy / Not Locke would easily be the opposite. And maybe he's the smoke monster, if only because he can manifest as other people (Like smokey) and he's wearing freakin' black!
So Ben killed God. That's fucked up.
Also, this is the 3rd season finale with Locke in a coffin.
