two beers is the worst number of beers. even two big beers are bad, but it's better than two small beers.

i just had two big beers and i have no more, so i can say this with all of the confidence that i possess.

this is dorky, but when me and my netphorian boyfriend met, we met via netphorian postcard exchange, and then we exchanged lots of letters and poems. here's one of my favorites that he sent to me.


Beerbottle

a very miraculous thing just happened:
my beer bottle flipped over backwards
and landed on its bottom on the floor,
and I have set it upon the table to foam down,
but the photos were not so lucky today
and there is the small slit along the leather
of my left shoe, but it’s all very simple:
we cannot acquire too much: there are laws
we know nothing of, all manner of nudges
set us to burning or freezing; what sets

yes, it's true. i don't really drink more. sometimes i will have 3 or maybe even 4 but only if i don't have anything to do the next day, it happens maybe once every 5 or 6 months. same with wine. and i don't really drink liquor. except maybe a margarita with mexican food maybe every 7 months or so.

i was just telling a friend about you around month ago. i offered to connect the two of you. he's going to journalism grad school either the University of Missouri or UT. he got into both but he's waiting to see if he can get financial aid at Missouri. do you still do layouts?

The most I drank recently was over the holidays with my cousin Jason. We were in a hotel bar and I planned on having one, but he had a bunch and I felt bad so I kept drinking.

It was also pretty awkward the way he was checking his blackberry the entire time non-stop.

what was he checking for?

that's pretty cool. i really mean that, even if it sounds sarcastic. i have a serious question: does drinking too much not really interest you, or did you have to make a conscious decision to stay more in control?

i have an unexplainable crush on alcoholism. i think that charles bukowski and a bunch of other authors and musicians instilled it in me, and it keeps me from being more sober. i don't drink as much as i used to, thank god, but i still drink pretty hard on a semi-regular basis. if it isn't already unattractive, it will be soon.

it really depends on the size of the beer and the strength. i myself enjoy 2 of the 22oz Old Guardians quite often.

it's several things, most important of which is i just feel crappy if i drink a lot. the next day i just feel sick, and end up wasting a lot of the day, and i have to ask myself what the point of that was. i end up skipping a meal or two, and proabably missing some exercise, and that feels counterproductive and mildly self destructive. beyond that, there are fewer and fewer situations i can identify where i'd enjoy being real intoxicated. i like to maintain control over myself, i don't like to say stupid things that i don't mean or would posssibly regret. also, since i don't drink very much at all, one or two beers is usually enough to achieve whatever i'm going for (take the edge off, relax, unwind, etc.) basically, for me, there are a lot of cons and not very many pros associated with drinking more than two beers. but so long as it doesn't cause any problems with me, i really don't give a hoot about what others do. party on, wayne!

2 22s > 2 large beers

to me, one large beer is a 16oz can of Lone Star. i drink one or two and i feel great, but then i have a roaring headache and i need a shower within the hour, or i'm good for nothing for the whole rest of the evening. i wonder if i was always this way, or if it's part of "growing up." 2 22s could potentially be alright...

thanks for the straight answer. i can understand where you're coming from. if i haven't drunk much recently and if i've eaten healthily, two drinks will put me exactly where i want to be, but don't think it would sustain me for an entire evening. maybe it could, but i haven't acquired that much self control... but i know what you mean about figuring out what you're trying to achieve and then figuring out how many drinks get you to where you're trying to go. that's often fewer than i drink if i let myself go. party on, garth!

The feeling after 4 is the best. I usually keep drinking well beyond that, but yea, 4 is nice.

Heh. That's the one I use and I hate it. I'm just extremely picky when it comes to technology. The BB curve I have is good for a couple of things: work e-mail and google talk. Its google maps is alright... but I'd rather just get something later with Android on it instead. Maybe. I'm really cheap so I probably won't get anything.

I had a Storm and a Bold (and an iPhone at one point), and gave them all up for the Curve.

i wont drink one beer if i know im not going to be drinking 4+. any amount of booze makes me feel kind of gross and ihave to get drunk to make it worthwhile
