Cartoons we used to watch / Our kids watch

Daughter is watching My Little Pony.

So far I've heard the same person who does the voice for Donatello on the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Martin Prince from the Simpsons and Bart Simpson from the Simpsons... Not to mention Sandy Duncan... one-eyed actress famous in her own right.

What was really surprising to me wasn't Martin Prince, but the fact that the Martin Prince and Bart Simpson voice over artists both worked on MLP before The Simpsons.

Oh yeah, Martin Prince (Russi Taylor) was the original Strawberry Shortcake as well.

billy west was stimpy before he was fry/professor farnsworth/zoidberg

IWishIWasBlank 03-26-2009 10:59 PM

If you look up Russi Taylor, it's almost guaranteed she voiced at least three cartoons you watched as a kid.

Debaser 03-26-2009 10:59 PM

Ducktales was the best.

IWishIWasBlank 03-26-2009 10:59 PM

And Billy West wouldn't be much of a stretch, as they're both Groening projects.

IWishIWasBlank 03-26-2009 11:00 PM

Ducktales, Oooooh

dicktales was good. so was fraggle rock and carebears and gummi bears and a ton of other crap. 80s/early 90s were good years for cartoons.

Starla 03-27-2009 12:32 AM

dicktales ....

Starla 03-27-2009 12:34 AM

we didn't have cable when I was growing up so we didn't watch alot of cartoons, but my kid loves my little pony, care bears, and simpsons

pepper ann pepper ann much too cool for seventh grade

IWishIWasBlank 03-27-2009 08:58 AM

I didn't have cable either but still got a healthy dose of all the classics.

Thundercats is hands down the best cartoon ever though.

Even better than He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
