finally billy comes out and rolls up in a car with the window down. so what is the first thing this dude asks billy when we've all been waiting in 10 degrees for about 40+ minutes?

"do you have any guitar picks"

billy says no.

"what do you think of the band deerhunter?

"what?"

repeats question

billy answers
"i think that guy is a fucking idiot"

wierd guy asks
"what do you think of the sounds?" or some other indie band

billy looks :erm:
"why the fuck are you asking me about other bands?"

weird guy asks
"what about kings of leon? why dont you guys play rocket? play rocket."

billy gets pissed, hardly answers any other questions, chats a bit with people he already knows and leaves.
dude sounds fucking awesome.

the guy sucked. He came up to me and Blissed and gone and asked if we got guitar picks. And then he'd ask the most obscure people coming out of the back door. And it wouldn't be a question it was simply just..."GUITAR PICK?" And of course, the first thing said when Billy rolled down the window was "Hey, Guitar Pick?" and then he went on about bands and playing Rocket tomorrow. Haha, oh well. I'm sure I wouldn't hate him as much if it wasn't -3 degrees outside.

i mean at least i got good laugh from guitar pick guy. it was unbelievable. like after a certain point it was just ridiculous. it wasnt even as though he would say, "excuse me, you dont by any chance have a guitar pick from the show do you?" he would just yell "Guitar pick!!" at people

Haha, I will tell you what...if old Bill throws Rocket into the set tonight...I'll change my mind on said "pick guy". But seriously, if you were there, you'd understand our frustration. It was funny up until he started asking Billy and then went on about other bands NON STOP.

by the way, to continue the legend of the guitar pick dude, i've seen him at all 4 chicago shows so far, 2 of which he was waiting outside before hand asking people if they had extra tickets. last night he said someone gave him 2 free tickets for a reason i couldnt understand. he seems to have always been wearing the same clothes, and his beard is shaved in a weird shape and his dreads look hard to maintain.

Hahaha, I had a run in with the autograph children's mother before the show, she got pissed at my friend and I for "pushing her" when we were trying to get into the Aragon. Then we saw her waiting outside afterward and we were like "oh shit" so we apologized and she was cool about it. Then the kid got hit in the head by the gate...
