I agree that the organization of the final shows was shit. If I had known about the Metro show sooner (I found out the day before they went on sale), I could have gotten my ass down to the UC that day instead of 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, and I could have paid $35 instead of $1000.

I still think that one of Billy's biggest mistakes was not releasing "Let Me Give the World to You" as a single. I still think that song could have been a crossover radio hit.

I just wanted to reply because it seems that everyone else has, and I didn't want to be left out...and I think that "Corgan's biggest blunder" was the choice of singles post-MCIS. To Sheila, Crestfallen, & TTT had no commercial potential whatsoever. And since commercial success is the point of singles, then releasing the wrong singles prevented the band's fan base from growing by keeping their music out of the limelight. And while popularity isn't everything, as in it shouldn't be your goal when you're making your music, once the music is made, then why the hell not use that music to reach as many people as possible? Huh? And this reminds me of something--wasn't Jellybelly supposed to be the first MCIS single? If it had been, THAT would have been the biggest blunder, cause we all know what happened with BWBW, and it wouldn't have happened with Jellybelly. Word. (Trying to be cool like Billy when he said the Beatles were "sick." )

Making the Try video what it was was a major blunder. I can't even listen to the song anymore without visualizing that awful video. I think a different video might have given it more popularity, but probably not much. People just weren't playing SP on radio or tv anymore. Although Untitled was played on one radio station here at the beginning of 2001 for a while. I've never seen it on TV.

Before Untitled came out, Try appeared to be their final single/video, and to have it be so shitty and not even have all of the band in it seemed sooo stupid to me.
