Rice Crispie Treats to the maaax!

my most recent cake is not a cake at all! it's rice crispies painted with chocolate. mmm....

that's what I did today , how abouts you alls? As much as I want a thread dedicated to me, people should post their most recent artistic creations.
That includes writings and music and such (how was going to sing a song to a girl to tell her he likes her? post that dude)
screw it, no one did this

is that an ewok?

ammy 04-27-2008 01:18 AM

haha, it's a ninja teddy.. sadly, i agree, he greatly resembles an ewok....

:O) 04-27-2008 01:19 AM

: O )

Hate the Hater 04-27-2008 01:19 AM

a ninja teddy is way cooler though!!!

ammy 04-27-2008 01:20 AM

his weaponry is entirely edible!

:O) 04-27-2008 01:21 AM

melts in your crawdad not in your hand

Hate the Hater 04-27-2008 01:22 AM

where did you find silver frosting?

ammy 04-27-2008 01:23 AM

they're made of gum paste - which i then painted black with food colouring, and then dusted heavily with silver shimmery dust stuff.

hairboy 04-27-2008 01:23 AM

pardon me your majesty but that throwing star looks an awful lot like a marijuana leaf.

Hate the Hater 04-27-2008 01:25 AM

you should open an erotic cakes shop

ammy 04-27-2008 01:26 AM

that'd be sweet. i haven't made an erotic cake yet. I do have plans for a pimply butt, however.
the pimples will be poppable. it'll be totally awesome.

The ninja star from far away looks like a weed plant. Blaze it.

Starla 04-27-2008 01:48 AM

i like it.

Is this for a client or something? List all the materials you used for me. You didn't use that disgusting fondant stuff did you ;;

ammy 04-27-2008 02:11 PM

i wish i was getting paid for this, it's for a coworker's babyshower tomorrow at work.

the fondant i use is made of marshallows and powdered sugar - it tastes awesome. but no, i didn't use that.

this guy is made of rice crispies. (rice crispies, marshmallow and butter)
he's painted with white chocolate and white chocolate detail
his mask and eyes are bittersweet chocolate clay (bittersweet chocolate, dark chocolate, glucose)
his weaponry is gum paste (powdered sugar, glucose, and gum tragnth(sp?)
colouring is all food colouring, extra detail provided by silvery edible shimmer dust

bardy 04-27-2008 02:12 PM

hey ammy have you been to the winchester mystery house?

man that sucked

ammy 04-27-2008 02:13 PM

no, because that's what everyone says about it!

KnowingSheWould 04-27-2008 02:15 PM

that cake reminds me of this stuff my youngest sister made for girl scouts. it was like whipped cream mixed with crushed nilla wafers and chocolate syrup and jello

KnowingSheWould 04-27-2008 02:16 PM

SAND DESSERT

2 boxes of vanilla cookies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
3 sm. boxes (12 oz. total) Jello instant French vanilla pudding
3 1/2 c. milk
1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
8 inch children's sand bucket with plastic bowl

Crumble cookies into a fine texture, set aside. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth, set aside. In a large bowl, mix pudding and milk until smooth, fold in Cool Whip, fold in cream cheese mixture. Mix thoroughly. Butter sides of the sand bucket. Alternate layers of cookie crumbs, then pudding mixture. End with at least 1 inch cookies on top. Insert shovel and chill for 2 hours. Great For A Picnic!

ammy 04-27-2008 02:17 PM

that sounds rather terrifying.
(less terrifying after you posted the recipie)

dean_r_koontz 04-27-2008 02:33 PM

women should only be thinking about rocket science and building bridges and thoughts about children and food should be kept under the rugs if they exist

I was going to ask if you used butter or margarine. One is right and one is wrong.

ammy 04-27-2008 03:59 PM

margarine has no place in cooking life.

ravenguy2000 04-27-2008 04:13 PM

and i'm sure if i grew up eating butter rice krispies they'd taste better but without margarine they're just not the same.

ohnoitsbonnie 04-27-2008 08:10 PM

Did you take any formal classes on this? That fondant sounds so much better than the usual store bought. I like rice crispy treats :3
