I have access to a plane and have planned on taking lessons but the cost is rather prohibitive and it's not worth it unless you own your own plane, and the maintenence costs on that make it not worth it unless you fly all the time.

Yeah, I'm in the process of building my own Hovercraft. :flame:

It's only a one-seater though, so don't think you twerps will be able to bum any rides.

In unrelated news I got a Homeland Security bulletin the other day that said kids in rural America are now calling meth labs "Hovercrafts."

the brother-in-law's a pilot. A proper one and all.

Since we're listing them...I have a helicopter instructor pilot for a cousin. Also have a cousin-in-law that is in airline pilot.

i know a guy who would take me and whoever wanted up in his plane and he let me fly, it was way easier and way more fun than i thought it would be but i still wouldn't trust myself

From what I understand flying is relatively easy... landing gets a bit dicier.

It's the same with RC airplanes. Landing (in one piece) is by far the most difficult aspect of it.

I figured all these people were speaking of RC planes. All except for Twinkie the Kid up there.

i've flown a plane. i was in air cadets for a while when i was 14. we had day trips to air bases and stuff. i never got to actually take off or land but up in the air the flying tutor would pass me the controls and it was really easy just to maneuvre and stuff.
