i came here for a grad school interview, and being out of town, alone, with no car, pretty boring.

today i walked from 6th & brazos to lamar to waterloo and got some food and a coffee at whole foods then walked down to the alamo south lamar and watched the signal, then i walked all the way from there to 24th & guadalupe to check out the strip and ron paul happened to be having a rally on campus so hey, i went to watch ron paul talk. then i ate at a thai place that was pretty awesome. madam mam's or something. and i got a ride back to my hotel thankfully. my feet were pretty fuckin' sore.

i get to leave in the morning.

You could always look in the yellow pages for one of those "massage" parlors.

yeah sure. the only time i ever go to san diego is whenever a band inexplicably skips LA on tour but goes to SD like xiu xiu and microphones did once, otherwise SD is pretty worthless to me.

i don't know anything about sd i only applied there because of scripps and la jolla and their biomedical sciences program was a little better than the other UC's

go to Katz's on 6th Street and.... West? Maybe. I think it's actually one block east of West, but I can't remember the name of the street. It's open 24 hours and they've got nice sammiches and stuff. I think they do breakfast too.

in austin the mexican places carry enriched multi grain snacks and soy based queso.

there is usually a lot going on here, but i don't get out enough to be able to recommend anything to you.

There's a place called Emo's, you should go down there and kick someone's ass.

The Drag is cool, right outside the university on Guadalupe.

I don't know if the Spiderhouse coffee place is still cool or if it's turned into tourist-land.

Whole Foods corporate HQ is on lamar, across the street from Waterloo. Yeah. RP. Go to Waterloo Records.
