yeah my friends who went out to bars that night told me that at midnight they came around and started pikcing up and throwing away ashtrays and kicking people out if they were still smoking.

I didn't think they'd do it, I mean it's kind of an asshole move...but hell it's funny. I kinda wish I was in the city on New Years so I could've witnessed everyone and their mother outside freezing their asses off trying to suck down their cigarettes.

I've been taking Chantix, tomorrow is the day I plan to quit completely (I'm tripping out tonight and want cigarettes should I feel the need)...but I don't even want to smoke anymore. The pill works, that's for sure. I finally just got fed up with smoking yesterday...I only had 3 all day (they were all gross) and the 3rd was around 6:30pm...I didn't have one till about an hour ago today and I was fine the whole time. The only reason I smoked one an hour ago was out of curiousity. I keep thinking that the experience will be different but it's not.

Things are starting to taste weird though. My coke tastes like it's got soco in it :erm:

paying for a pill to give you nicotine is not quitting cigarettes, it's just another waste of money.

It's nice to be saving the money I would have spent on smokes but I still miss a cigarette while drinking a beer.

im really not a big smoker, i only smoke around 8-13 cigs a week but lately ive been feeling really shitty about myself and i found that im starting to smoke as a tool of self destruction.
so now im not smoking for a week just to see if i feel like i need it
i dont want to develop an actual addicition to it

The reason I started smoking was depression when I was 22. Took 3 years to quit.

A.) I'm not paying for them, I'm getting them free from a friend
B.) They don't have nicotine in them, read the damn thread...they block the nicotine from the receptors in your brain.

I haven't had a cigarette in 3 days. I'm doing pretty well...Chantix is definitely as close to the "miracle cure" as you can get.

I haven't freaked out at all, I got a little panicky when I left for work this morning because the last thing I do is check my pockets for my cigarettes. Then when I went out to lunch because that's usually my cigarette time. So other than my brain knowing when it's "cigarette time" and having to just do something else to get my mind off it, I'm great.

I am having some crazy dreams though, but I don't think it's bad - it's interesting for sure. Except this morning I woke up Mark at 7am because I was screaming in my sleep. :erm:

It's so weird, I haven't had an actual craving yet...physically. Like I said I sometimes get antsy because of the habit, but I actually think the insanity I was going through last week were the few days my body was ridding itself of the nicotine (while I was still smoking!). How weird...definitely makes things easier though.

:rofl: I was reading some forum where people were talking about their Chantix experiences. No joke...some woman said she hated Chantix because even though she quit smoking, she gained so much weight. She said she started smoking again to see if she could lose the weight. NO FUCKING JOKE. Holy shit I hate stupid people...

Think about it. You mix the resin with tobacco, then smoke it without a filter. And the resin has all sorts of shit chemicals in it.
