Many a late-night channel surfer has been numbed to sleep by endless infomercials hawking ab machines, penis enlargers, psychic readings and baldness cures. But how about a 30-minute faux talk show featuring a slick "expert author" who promises natural cures for cancer, diabetes and chronic fatigue syndrome and who claims that the FDA, drug companies and food industry have withheld such cures from the public in order to keep making bigger and bigger profits?

he's been around forever

he used to be the phony anchorman for those newstalk styled infomercials

Trotskilicious 01-07-2008 08:12 AM

basically he moved from one chair to the other

Starla 01-07-2008 08:16 AM

trev, what are you needing a natural cure for?

there's better places to go look than that guy y'know.

trev 01-07-2008 09:05 AM

oh nothing i'm looking for specifically, i just like the way his book is aimed at educating people who would most likely be none-the-wiser otherwise. lots of people write off natural cures / non western ideas on health without giving it a chance or an open mind, but KT approaches it differently, bagging out western ways first (with fairly good arguments) and in doing so makes it easier for closed minded people to understand or at least entertain these alternate ideas.

Weight loss advice from a convicted felon, March 5, 2007
By Pen Name - See all my reviews

What Kevin Trudeau really doesn't want you to know about, is his past criminal behavior. He has spent several years in jail, investigated by the FTC, the FDA, and the Securities Exchange Commission for making false medical claims in his past books and infomercials. He has been arrested in the past for pretending to be a doctor to commit check fraud. He has committed credit card fraud.

ALL Trudeau wants is your money, and he knows that writing a weight loss book is the way to get it, regardless of how much his advice may hurt you. One of the weight loss methods he advocates in this book is to have 15 colonics in 30 days. Who wants to have their colon cleansed every other day for a month, and how is that possibly a "sound" way for losing weight? What's next, advocating home lipo or sweating it off by wearing trash bags all day? The title doesn't even make sense. How can you have a "cure" for weight loss? Is weight loss a disease? It would make more sense to call it the "weight gain cure." I can almost guarantee that Trudeau "wrote" this book in less than 2 weeks with minimal research. He is out to turn a quick profit and will move on to his next scam.

Anyone considering buying this book should do a search for this guy's name, and you will easily see how much trouble he has been in in the past. If you want a real "weight loss cure," try a book written by an actual physician or nutritionist rather than one written by a convicted felon who has been labeled a scam artist.
