You like how he plays by his own rules, huh

Travis Meeks 01-06-2008 09:35 PM

that mob dude was awesome

Skylarq 01-06-2008 09:36 PM

it was especially neat how the mob guy and the interviewer had a nice chuckle over people being thrown down the trap door and kept in the cellar until they died.

MonteLDS 01-06-2008 09:36 PM

How 'bout the nerve of that Brian McNamee? Just days before the release of the Mitchell Report he calls up Roger asking for fishing equipment. There was nothin' in the interview to sway my opinion anyway, but I did like how Roger left the door open to possibly pitch next season: when asked if he was retired, Clemens just responded "probably." So Yanks and 'Stros fans, there's still the posibility that if your teams place the highest bid, he could be yours for the second half next year. I never had a problem with the guy (didn't think much of the bat incident in the WS with Piazza), until he started doin' that sweepstakes shit for what, the last three years?

The Yankees have no need for him and have already said they aren't bringing him back

sppunk 01-07-2008 01:50 PM

The Yankees learned from him this year - he's useless.

This whole thing is BS; it's all semantics and nothing will ever get answered now with Clemens suing him (on a Sunday no less ... when the courts are closed ... which is not possible and outright bizarre behavior in its own right).

Congress' involvement is even worse, they need to drop this bullshit and move on. It's in the past - the drug program is working fairly well and making it more stringent will be great. Move the fuck on.

wait, what?

Congress only seems to come after baseball. How many NFL players get caught? Rodney Harrison, Shawne Merriman, etc... Congress doesn't care. Pro wrestlers? Congress doesn't care. Jason Grimsley? Federal fucking investigation.

Clemens is suing McNamee - filed Sunday in Harris County. Clemens said it was filed electronically but Harris County only allows in-person suits to be filed.

*insert baseball-related comeback here*

I was wondering if Clemens was actually going to sue, many athletes in situations like this always proclaim their innocence but they never actually sue the person accusing them because they are probably guilty.

I would like to give him the benefit of doubt but who knows how this will end up turning out in the end. Once he starts testifying under oath he could run into a lot of trouble.
