is there anyone here that didn't like no country for old men?
: (
|
I haven't seen it yet
|
it's pretty fuckin' sweet
|
i don't think anyone dislikes it
bizarre |
it was just very well done, there's very little detracting from it
if anything |
i haven't seen it but the coen brothers seem pretty overrated to me
|
movie was good, ending sucked

did it suck because you don't understand it? movie rocked. |
i liked it, although everyone else in the theater hated it. they screamed i want my money back, and i can't believe i wasted my time watching this bullshit movie.

I saw it at like 11:30 on a Wednesday morning and it was me and like 10 old people in the theater. When the credits rolled they were audibly bitching about it, it was funny. Great movie. |
there's no movie like no country
|
i liked it too, but the guy in front of me was being all bitchy on the way out because he didn't like the ending. but i liked the ending.
|
seems like most who disliked the movie was because the ending was strange and it didn't flat out explain everything about what happened to you
which is why i liked it. |
You really don't find many movies that make you think about underlying themes as you're watching, most other movies this year have seemed pretty brainless compared to No Country.
|
besides no country, what movies have you bothered to see Mablak
|
I just watched it and liked it a lot. At first the ending confused me though, I thought I had missed something obvious that explained it but the more I thought about it the more I liked how it ended. It somehow seemed to fit.
|
This last summer I saw pretty much every movie in theaters with my neighbor, being bored out of my skull every night. I don't recall anything this year that compares to no country for old men.
|
so what was the sheriff's dream about guys
what was all that stuff about |
i hate how this movie's audience is like
people who loved it to death and then people who didn't like it and the people who loved it are smarter than the people who didn't like it, because obviously if you didn't like it, you didn't GET it. yet i feel like i got it more than most people who liked it, i just didn't like it. |
and the coen brothers are my favourite film writers/directors
|
Amazing movie. I can't even remember the last time I saw a movie that had me literally on the edge of my seat like that.
|
well i don't want to be pretentious about it, i certainly didn't get everything about it but you know when every movie has the part where they explain what just happened it's nice to have a movie that doesn't
i liked it because the acting was great, the cinematography was great (roger deakins ftw), and it really had an awesome feel to it. coens always have this brilliant knack for regional flavor. also lots of gunplay and one explosion. so i don't think i'm saying that if people didn't like the ending they didn't "get it" i just think they're being tools. |
it was stupid.
pitbulls can't swim. |
