what should I get my bf's mom for xmas
 

I am staying at their house for xmas and new years and I think she is getting me a present. I want to get her something just becuase it's chrismas and also because she is letting me stay in their house. I could go get her something girly and be simple but that seems so thoughtless.

I was thinking maybe making her some cookies? Maybe a variety? I know she really likes sugar cookies and I was thinking about making my bf decorate some gingerbread cookies with me. and maybe she likes other baked goods? Is that somewhat thoughtful? Any other ideas for a present? I know she likes to read and she likes feeding ducks and her kitties.

Take a nice picture of you and the boyfriend and put it in a classy frame... BAM gift is done and she'll love it.

the cookies idea doesn't sound good to me, especially if she is spending money on you for a present. but those are the types of presents girls tend to give each other and enjoy so i could be way out of my element here. get her a nice fragrance. older women like to smell young, and she'll think you know what is hip.

hmmm I have to also mention that she has the ability to buy herself pretty much anything she wants and she wears nicer and hipper clothes than I do (well for he age, she likes ralph ****** etc)

so anyway I'd feel like out of place giving her anything like fragrance, clothes, purses, etc...

plus I feel like i can't afford anything that's really going to make in impact unless it's super thoughtful, you know? I wish I knew what kind of books she likd more so I could buy her some.

Maybe if I could find a nice painting of Lake Tahoe or something. It's too late for that I think :( She really enjoyed it when I gave her some home made pickled green beans!

I think that would be a nice present in a few years from now but I should stick to inanimate objects this year

Either get her a gift card to a bookstore or ask your boyfriend to fish around for ideas for books. Then offer to make her cookies while you are there.

In cases like this you need to get them something you know they would love but would never think to buy for themselves. You'd know better than me but I'm thinking pay for a glamour photo shoot for her to generate some tasteful nudes to reignite the flame in her marriage.

Get her a pedicure, every woman likes to be pampered and its not too expensive but if you do make sure you go to a nicer spa it will make a better impression
