Travis Meeks 12-15-2007 10:09 PM

what a great idea for a thread!

ravenguy2000 12-15-2007 10:13 PM

For me it's like

1. The Incredibles
2. Finding Nemo
3. Monsters, Inc
4. Toy Story
5. Cars
6. A Bug's Life

I still haven't seen Toy Story 2, I don't know what's wrong with me.

Mo 12-15-2007 10:13 PM

Toy Story 2 was surprisingly good.

Mo 12-15-2007 10:14 PM

And funny.

??? 12-15-2007 10:43 PM

you guys are missing the point of the thread

we're supposed to be brainstorming hot new titles here

BlissedandGone2 12-15-2007 10:56 PM

i think they should make phantom tollbooth into a cgi or claymation pic

ravenguy2000 12-15-2007 10:59 PM

People have talked about that for a long time, I think I remember hearing that a lot of people have done the preliminary for a big budget Phantom Tollbooth but it just hasn't happened yet.

thats great to hear actually. what a classic. seems perfect for claymation.

ravenguy2000 12-15-2007 11:11 PM

Yeah well who knows if it will ever happen. although with hollywood so lost for ideas i guess it's more possible. I never thought I'd see Indy 4 or the Simpsons movie either.

what about rocky or rambo?

ravenguy2000 12-15-2007 11:23 PM

They talked about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for a long time before it happened, too. And shitty Superman Returns.

And the next Pee Wee movie has been in the works for a bazillion years.

BlissedandGone2 12-15-2007 11:28 PM

dude apparently paul reubens asked johnny depp if he wanted to play peewee in the new movie.

ravenguy2000 12-15-2007 11:35 PM

Yeah, that would be...bothersome. I don't think it will happen. It sounded like some random rumor or comment that got taken out of context or blow out of proportion or twisted or something.

I still haven't seen Toy Story 2, I don't know what's wrong with me.

I think The Incredibles is terrible.

I seem to be in the minority, but TS1 was way better than TS2. Also, I dislike The Incredibles and think Ratatouille sucked balls.

yea i assumed as much. it was probably a joke. i think theyre friends.

Trotskilicious 12-16-2007 03:55 AM

i read the phantom tollbooth

Mablak 12-16-2007 04:01 AM

I really love unique animation, but I've never enjoyed pixar movies, I can't really stand the plots. The incredibles was fairly interesting for its chase / fight scenes though, I think I'd like more pixar stuff if they focused more on people as opposed to talking toys, fish, etc.

Way to sport that snuggler avatar, AndySlash.

i'll admit its great what can be done with animation these days, but isn't the very concept of pixar's formulaic approach enough to make anyone puke

doesn't it bother you that they just force out these trite stories of personified wildlife and such in order to justify their existence, because without them pixar would have very little original material to work with in the first place

the world doesn't need any more of this formulaic drivel

TuralyonW3 12-16-2007 09:06 AM

ratatouille was great, hush isle
