I just really don't know what to do, I don't have the time to find another place and paying for here and deposits etc for a new place would just put me in a rock and a hard place.
She has friends and family here and I don't so it's only fair I think, but I fear this is going to turn into something childish and nasty which I really want to avoid. Any advice would be most helpful.

Stay. You have 1 month left and are named in the lease, so you can rightfully stay there. You will need as much time as possible to find a new place, so staying until the lease is up is a smart idea. Make sure that if you do not plan to extend your lease, you are the one to get your deposit back, NOT her. Should you plan to continue your stay, obviously you will need to write up a new contract without her. I think its best for you to pay rent and stay until the lease is up, but ultimately move elsewhere. If she actually wants to stay at the place, it might be more trouble than its worth to fight for it. the extra month there gives you more time to save $. If you need or want to talk, AIM me. I know i haven't talked to you in a long while, but you can hit me up anytime.
