Netphoria Message Board - story involving my job and cops and evidence bags.

Part of my job involves putting crates onto/taking crates off boats, mostly full of luggage or linens (i work for a ferry company that takes people to and from this island/tourist attraction thing).

So today the last boat comes in and the one of the crew say there's a crate to come off and that we have to lock it up in the bike shed, which is already full of stuff. They dont normally have crates on the last boat. I think this is a bit odd and tell him that the shed is already full. his response was "explain that to the cops".

So we take the cover off this crate and its covered in police tape, full of boxes of (?) and some evidence bags. about 50 seconds later a police boat tears in, docks at the jetty, and off get two cops with a dude in handcuffs. 2 minutes later there are 2 cop cars there and dudes are talking to the cuffed guy while a few cops are going through the stuff in the crate, wearing gloves and photgraphing and fingerprinting and shit.
