It's not really kosher to have rolls of toilet paper sitting all about your house or place of work. Second, many tissues are specially tailored to nose blowing, while toilet paper, on the other hand, is targeted for withstanding scrapes across the ass. People used to use old catalog pages for toilet paper. Back then the paper wasn't shiny and smooth like it is today.

My art teacher called it "kleenex on a roll" so the uptights wouldn't have to admit they were blowing their noses on tp.

toilet paper is just as comfortable as tissue. its lightweight material feels good.

I use whatever's closest. I'll settle for construction paper some days.

I tear off some TP, fold it up and stuff it in my pocket. Nobody knows the difference, except for me and my monkey.

Plus, when I go to http://www.mykleenextissue.com/ and get custom-made Kleenex boxes with photos of my dog and cousins and whatever, it really adds a touch of class to my apartment.

I share bardy's utilitarian view on tp as a substitute for kleenex.

I'm not going to leave a roll of TP in the middle of my living room like some kind of hick. I'll use whatever is closest when the sneezes hit, but I'm going to leave boxes of tissues in common areas of my home cause heaven knows my roommate spills enough shit, he'd ruin every roll of TP in a flash.

i don't always have tissues in my house, so i use toilet paper a lot. but tissues are so much more comfortable. your nose never gets irritated after blowing it repeatedly with toilet paper?

Because toilet paper unravels and creates chaos in your purse.

What, you've never excessively used a tissue to blow your nose?

If you get a cold (especially during winter), the rougher the tissue, the harder it is on your nose. You want it to be as soft as possible, because if the skin around your nostrils dries out, toilet paper irritates the hell out of it, and can promote that as well.
