Uh, what about the currents Pats. They've won three of the last six championships, and have almost always been serious contenders on top of that. While other contenders have burned themselves out over that time span (Tampa Bay and Oakland for instance) the Pats have been consistently good. They are a dynasty, plain and simple, and there's no reason to believe that they're going away anytime in the next few seasons.

70s steelers
80s 49ers
90s cowboys
and the pats will be it for this decade. those are dynasties.

i would say there is quite a difference between MLB and the NFL.. the type of difference that would make it much less prone to forming dynasties.

i kind of hate the patriots only because they're good and they're so...i dunno annoyingly humble about it. I don't like any team that's really good unless it's my team. I always say the teams I hate the most in college football are Oklahoma, Ohio State, and whoever is #1 if it's not Texas.

also whoever said the biggest weakness is the defense is wrong.

when kevin faulk is your starting tailback, your greatest weakness is the running game. Moroney might come back but he's been hurt and that usually means that he's not going to be as productive as you might expect.

they play ridiculously good/enthralling football, they are a pretty modest team for the most part, and they have the best QB in the league who primarily remains out of the limelight (unlike most others)
