5 Favourite Songs from Current Tour

Well some people seem to think some of the old songs have been reworked well, others aren't quite so good. Some people also like some Zeitgeist songs live even if they hate the album (the lack of corgan choir helps most songs). So which songs from this tour are your favourite?

Mine are, in no particular order:
Shame
LMGTWTY
Home
Starz
TAFH

robertedge 10-21-2007 07:49 AM

Tristessa274 10-21-2007 11:38 AM

I've seen them 6 times since July, so it's hard to narrow it down, they seem to just keep getting better. I really like Gossamer, seeing that song 7/5 in Asheville was incredible and I love just hearing them jam out. United States is always enjoyable for me, even though I've seen it 6 times live I haven't gotten sick of it. Starla is one of my favorite songs and it sounds great on this tour. SIYL is beautiful and I can't really get enough of that live either. I love the reworked version of Shame, and in Boston I finally got to see Muzzle which made my night. Last but not least, the fact that they're playing STRTJ was a great surprise and I think it sounds awesome.

Spaldz 10-21-2007 11:49 AM

Damnit I'm not quite sure how I forgot about Muzzle..that was no doubt the best song I've seen this tour.

Starz (don't ask me why)

Gish08 10-21-2007 09:53 PM

-Starz
Slays the studio version. Great sound all around, very energetic and you get kind of lost in it.

-Set the Ray to Jerry
Who would have ever thought they'd pull this one out? Sounds great live, too.

-Superchrist
The lyrics I am not a big fan of, but at least they're short. This song is a beast. Jimmy's drumming is in top form here and it really is a treat to see live.

-Rocket (full band)
After all these years, it retains just as much energy as it did back in the Siamese Dream days. At least, it seemed to when I saw it.

-Heavy Metal Machine
Forgot to list this. Insane. Makes you forget about the Machina version. Even the way they played it during the United Center show.

Honorable mentions:

Pomp + Circumstance
It's completely reworked and sounds ten times better than the album version. I like it so much that I don't even want to listen to the album version anymore. I hope they do a high quality recording of it sometime soon! It was great to see live (especially for the first time being played by the band).

-Hummer
Never saw this live :(, but I've heard bootlegs, and it sounds incredible.

This is a hard list to make, though. I could change it every day probably.

dollwhispers 10-21-2007 10:55 PM

tonight tonight
the leaving lament
shame
death from above (i hated it before i heard it live, but now love it)
united states (i know, i'm weird.)

superchrist and heavy metal machine also blew me away. zeitgeist, muzzle, zero.. it's so hard to chose..

and i'm not counting songs i wasn't able to hear in person. i'm pretending those never happened. no one saw btl, strtj, lmgtwty.. you've all just suffered from a collective hallucination. sorry.
