What exactly is hipinion?
 

I went there and it is just a forum. Is it associated with something? Is it attached to a website?

The messageboard continues to exist (as "hipinion") and is one of the net's larger boards (see [1])
The board was originally created by Pitchforkmedia, hosted by Pitchforkmedia, and generally considered a part thereof, thus making it part of the site's history
The board, while not notable enough for its own entry (see AfD/Hipinion), has been referenced repeatedly on the parent site, including many times after it was removed from that site (due to bandwidth overuse), and has also generated some humor that received outside attention (particularly a spoof that was published in Harper's, which I can look up and cite here if anyone wants)
The board still counts many former and present PF writers as members/posters
The board still features more PF-related discussion than any other on the 'net

it's a forum for music leaks and collective jizzing over radiohead and animal collective, with an unusual obsession with jews and andrew wk, with boarders who throw around their opinion as if it were hard, cold fact.

so basically, a messageboard on the internet.

i know how your dirty little mind works. you've worked your way a bit up on what you concieve as the social ladder of netphoria and then suddenly you're presented with this other board that's bigger and better and you see that if you accept that it's vastly superior or even just as good, your efforts here will be deminished. it's also the basic tribal rivalry, hipinion is not your tribe, you don't belong there thus you hate it automatically.

So even if another forum is worse, nobody is ever allowed to state this?

if it is worse yes, but hipinion is so superior that only sociological explenations like that are sufficient. that or extreme stupidity. that eulogy is negative even though he's never even been there, basing his negative opinion on a misinterpretation of what someone else wrote is even more evidence of his nature.

also i've seen eulogy post and make comments like "gee i just don't understand what the rules are here" etc. there are many factors contributing, don't be a simpleton.

hipinion is really good but netphoria is my home. i live in a garbage can in netphoria's backyard.
