Coolest Thread Ever!
I found this link on another message board, this has got to be one of the coolest threads I have ever read in a long time.
Took me about an hour to read through the entire thing but it's well worth the read. Some crazy shit in there: http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50674&perpage=25&pagenumber=1 |

i read the first page, and it was getting interesting, but geez...a twenty-plus page thread?
|
So Andrew what are you saying about us? You hate us, huh? You want us to be like some OTHER message board, huh?
------------------ “Innocent people on death row is unacceptable. Until I can be sure that everyone sentenced to death in Illinois is truly guilty, no one will meet that fate. I can't support a system proven to be so fraught with error and come so close to the ultimate nightmare of taking an innocent person's life. People are starting to understand that there's a possibility that innocent people are going to be put to death. I don't think anybody wants that on their hands or their consciences. It's just a matter of right and wrong." -Gov. George Ryan |

I can't get to that message board. I think we crashed their server.

I think you seriously overestimate the number of people reading Netphoria if you think you could crash a server.

I quite like this gem posted in the thread: http://www.ecanfix.com/~atdsm/eaglet.../yodaycool.jpg |
"There is a famous story which is not openly talked about -- there are two versions... both may be true. In one version a Mormon Temple worker penetrated an underground tunnel below the 'square' in downtown Salt Lake City and traveled for some distance through a series of underground catacombs until running into a 'lizard' like man. The creature attempted to attack him but the man escaped and managed to find his way back to the surface. He began telling other people what had happened and soon afterwards the 'government' arrived in the area and went in and closed off many of the tunnels leading to the sub-basements of the Temple. Presumably there was some heated debates over how much of the underground system this denomination was allowed to control. A similar dispute apparently occurred to the southwest where the LDS church maintained a large storage facility under Granite Mountain in Little Cottonwood canyon, within the upper levels of a vast network of caverns. Fascist CIA elements and the Grays came in and took control of the larger caverns deeper within the mountain and ordered the 'vault' workers to stay out of the 'forbidden' areas -- and stated that the "U.S. Government" was now using them for "National Security" purposes and that it was their "patriotic duty" to maintain the secret. The other version concerned a custodian who entered a tunnel near the cinemas area below the Crossroads Mall across the street and to the south from the temple square, while excavation was being carried out in a that part of the Mall. The worker entered the tunnel and before long encountered a 'serpent' type man, beat a hasty retreat, and told his fellow workers what he had seen. The FBI and/or the local police soon arrived and sealed the tunnel. Another story involved a young man who, along with a friend, had used a chain tied to his pickup truck to rip-up a manhole cover in the area near the 'Mall' and the 'Square'. They navigated through a maze of sewer passages underneath and came to a shaft that descended in a series of 5 small 'rooms' one below the other, and from the bottom room a tunnel led south into a large chamber wherein they saw a seemingly bottomless shaft, a large southwest tunnel strung with lights and 'large enough to drive a semi through', and the footprints of some type of three-toed bi-pedal creature. Other sources imply that early pioneers and settlers of the area who explored these tunnels came in contact with and in some cases even joined with some of the Telosian-Agharti-Melchizedek-Mayan underground colonies below the Salt Lake Flats, the Salt Lake Valley and the Western Rockies. These subterraneans had formerly established territorial agreements with the Reptiloids and Grays before the aliens begun invading their subterranean lands below the intermountain west en-masse in the early 1900's."

That thread is the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen on the Internet. Thanks, Andrew.

not sure about any other LDS people here but the "rumors that they have the sword of Laban, " not sure who even knows what that is. But from what i understand i don't believe their a record of the church having that item, other then it being laid with the Golden Plates that were translated into what we now know as "The Book of Mormon" |
i just did a search on "soward of laban" and funny on the 1st page of google search it came up with me. Monte LDS (weird)

Ok i just got done reading that whole honking thread. It starts out like gangbusters but then it descends into a lame discussion about shitty cars. I want to know what's in that fucking cave!

I think they stumbled upon the Black Mesa research facility. They wouldn't have to be so sneaky if they'd just get Gordon Freeman to give them a tour.

Shit, this is better than the Novogate Incident.

As for the soon-to-be barrage of questioning me about this thing 'cause I'm a somewhat prominent Mormon on the board here... you've got me. This is one thing that I don't know very much about. All I know is that the church houses a full backup of their geneology records. I'll do research and get back to you guys soon. |

Here's a little video on the Mormon page about the Granite Mountain Facility...
http://www.lds.org/media/videoclip/d...-1-747,00.html Makes sense to me. Our collection of records is the biggest in the world, I think... and it only makes sense to have them somewhere totally secure. The guy in the video is right - that collection is priceless and has taken literally billions of man hours of work to amass. |

After reading that joke on the first page about it saying "Type R" I went back and looked at the image and thought to myself, "There is no way it says type R, wtf." Then I realized it was a car joke. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/redface.gif

Is it so ridiculous to say that the reason this place is so big is because they're expecting a hell of a lot of expansion over time? Is it so ridiculous to have a laboratory that might *******, yes, biohazardous chemicals, in order to continue to preserve, prolong the life of, and research preservation techniques of what the Mormons consider very holy and sacred documents? I'm sorry, I just don't smell anything credibly adding up to conspiracy or top secret project.

this reminds me of neon genesis evangelion.
