Here's a little video on the Mormon page about the Granite Mountain Facility...

http://www.lds.org/media/videoclip/d...-1-747,00.html

Makes sense to me. Our collection of records is the biggest in the world, I think... and it only makes sense to have them somewhere totally secure. The guy in the video is right - that collection is priceless and has taken literally billions of man hours of work to amass.

No wonder Mr. Pakula was reading it.

I bet you can't stop thinking about it. "It?" You say. Yes, "it," the question that plagues everyone's mind. Am I hot? In a word - absolutely. In fact I'm usually the first one to start perspiring profusely in a mildly warm room.

After reading that joke on the first page about it saying "Type R" I went back and looked at the image and thought to myself, "There is no way it says type R, wtf." Then I realized it was a car joke. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/redface.gif

Is it so ridiculous to say that the reason this place is so big is because they're expecting a hell of a lot of expansion over time? Is it so ridiculous to have a laboratory that might *******, yes, biohazardous chemicals, in order to continue to preserve, prolong the life of, and research preservation techniques of what the Mormons consider very holy and sacred documents? I'm sorry, I just don't smell anything credibly adding up to conspiracy or top secret project.

That's exactly what I did.

Everyone seemed to think it was funny, though, so I just assumed I was missing something.

That's the most logical post I've read on either this post, or the one over there on that other page.

I think a lot of people with this one are just running with assumptions. People are generally interested in the LDS Church 'cause we are definately different. I think people are just looking for something else to poke around at.

Pure comedy.

The Half-Life motif that's emerging here is comic genius.

That was more like the longest thread ever.
I read about half of page one... I'm still kind of skeptical, it could be someone's idea of a joke, those words on the door... but it is still a neet concept.

Me too! Except that I didn't realize it has to do with cars, and I also didn't realize it was a joke. But I did think that there was no way it said Type R. Yeah. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/biggrin.gif

Very Interesting, I have read about this in the past. Apparently Earth has 5-6 lvls, the bottom 2 lvls are inhabited by the lizard people, the middle too by so called 'grays' one level is abandoned. There is talk about miles and miles of empty living space underneath our surface.

Have you gyus heard about the bottomless pits that they have been finding in washington?

This is very Art Bell'ish, you guys should listen to that more.
