The more I read about relationships, the more I wonder if it really is a bad thing that I'm alone.

Thus, you raise the question: what is love? And Jesus, you can't answer it. You never fall out of love ... it's not something tactile that can happen. Love is purely a state of mind, and therefore, arbitrary for each person. There are social mores and ideas about love placed in folks' minds in each culture, but in the end, it's the reaction in the gut that matters, and nothing more.
