I'd always heard some kind of story about it, not exactly that though, interesting, it explains why its such a weird game compared to mario 1. throwing the potions and then having a door appear in front of you was a hell of a lot different compared to just going down pipes

SMB 3 owns...

Definitely my favorite classic Nintendo game, next to F-Zero.

The suits were fun too, especially the hammer bros. suit. You could totally whoop some ass in that thing. I think the most difficult levels were in the ice world. It's been a long time since I've played that game, but I was a total Nintendo nerd back in the day http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/wink.gif

I still think that the Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past is one of the best games ever.

But Chrono Trigger is number one. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif

I prefer Mario 2. First thing I bought was SMA when it came out with the GBA. I beat it in a few hours. [b]

I think M2 is the better game as well for its originality and utter uniqueness from the rest of the marios. however, it does have fault in that it was too easy.

Hey Mark, there's a SMW editor called Lunar Magic - it lets you build your own levels, and even a world map so you can produce your own new Mario World game. If you get *really* into it, you can make your own graphics (which is a little harder). The website that used to host it seems to have disappeared, but I think you can get it here
