null123 08-26-2007 01:26 AM

Quiet

really amazing

wHATcOLOR 08-26-2007 01:46 AM

i'm a big fan of to sheila

redbreegull 08-26-2007 01:49 AM

For soft vocals, To Sheila.

For rock vocals, "Intoxicated with the madness"

Eulogy 08-26-2007 01:51 AM

i guess i could have left mine up there

the opening of Saturnine (Judas O version) and "to the dawn" from The Last Song

'with blushing brilliance alive' is pretty perfect too.

Mablak 08-26-2007 01:54 AM

Fuck that Eulogy, we will discuss this topic right here. I enjoy his voice in By Starlight, he really exhibits a wide range of softness and intensity.

Eulogy 08-26-2007 01:55 AM

i also kind of dig the raspiness of My Mistake

RopeyLopey 08-26-2007 01:56 AM

INTO THE EYES OF THE JACKAL KA-BOOM!

Eulogy 08-26-2007 01:57 AM

oh for sure. that actually is pretty awesome.

Fattening Ass 08-26-2007 01:57 AM

TOASE for sure

waltermcphilp 08-26-2007 01:58 AM

XYU is fun to scream along with
Behold the Nitemare is also a winner.

redbreegull 08-26-2007 02:01 AM

I've faced the fathoms in your deep
Withstood the suitors quiet siege
Pulled down the heavens just to please you
To hold the flower I can't keep :(

waltermcphilp 08-26-2007 02:05 AM

and the NIIIIIIITEEEMARE runs on! :goosebumps:

Eulogy 08-26-2007 02:06 AM

the new shame, when he launches into YOU'RE GONNA WALK ON HOOOOME is pretty sweet

Eulogy 08-26-2007 02:07 AM

oh and how can i forget

LOVE IS EVERYTHING I WANT

null123 08-26-2007 02:09 AM

Right there... the puffy cat wins again!

cork_soaker 08-26-2007 02:53 AM

For rock vocals, "Intoxicated with the madness"

BlissedandGone2 08-26-2007 02:54 AM

the peak of for martha.

7shadesofblack 08-26-2007 02:55 AM

I prefer his vocals from Gish and SD, but I like them all in general, although they are too dry in Zeitgeist.

See, I felt on Gish he was holding back. He was out of form.

7shadesofblack 08-26-2007 03:01 AM

In retrospect it sounds out of form, because his vocal style has changed quite a bit, but then again so has the music. For the gish style of music, I loved the vocals. Hey, toeachesown.

SpFission 08-26-2007 01:02 PM

Anything before 1999

Behold! is good example of great vocal delivery.

This was the first thing that came to mind.

I think anything prior to Machina is pretty solid. After that he seems like he is either trying too hard or not enough way too often.

The Jesus 08-26-2007 01:29 PM

Blank Page.

dollwhispers 08-26-2007 02:06 PM

adore is definitely my favorite album vocally (for martha, blank page, to sheila, etc), but i love the screaming in bodies and x.y.u. as well. delicious.

i_adore_adore 08-26-2007 02:30 PM

"Always." Not a SP song, but I love his vocals in this...

Also, "I went faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiin" in "Once Upon a Time" is stunning.

And yeah. Pretty much everything everyone else has already said.

Gotta add "Pomp" in there. He sounds beautiful.

I think I agree with almost everything everyone's mentioned in this thread. If I were to choose an album as a whole that I felt had the best vocal deliveries it'd be Adore.
