I guess it was an older show but this was the only one I caught - while searching around I just realized that's the burlesque teacher at my belly dancing school! Probably not exciting for you guys but it surprised the hell out of me, at the time I don't think I was even in belly dancing cuz this was an older show wasn't it?



She's SO cute. Last night she did a belly dance and was amazing. There's nothing that girl can't do.

And I'm trying to get someone to take her burlesque classes with me next summer. :o

Well the storm pretty much wiped out some of the people who would've been attending - pretty much anyone who lived 30+ mins away didn't show, including dancers. There was a leak on the dance floor, of all places - so we had to constantly mop up the floor. The ceiling in the VIP room collapsed. Our changing room was the moldy, scary basement that had 1 light bulb and 2 broken mirros to put our makeup on and all that. Uhhh...what else, oh yeah they ran out of change to give people at the door for the cover, and the 3 people that were working that night didn't speak English.

Our poor instructor Sonya did such a good job of pulling it all together and we only started 15 minutes late. The manager of the club wanted to shut it down but Sonya was like NUH UH! :love: And on top of all that she was trying to help the DJ cuz he had no idea what was going on, and didn't speak English, and she was in two performances.

I had tons of fun though, made a new friend, got to drool over this girl I'm in love with (she did a cane dance and balanced a cane on her head), and I didn't fuck up the dance at all! I think I even smiled a bit. My friend video taped it so hopefully I'll have it up soon - it was so dark and they had these crazy club lights going. God it was awful but we all had a good time, you had to just laugh it off you know?

i'm glad it worked out in some way. :)


these fucking storms are unbelievable. the thunder and lightning was pretty incredible, though. i hear there's another one on the way. i'm in schaumburg right now, so it'll tear through here first if it's actually gonna happen.

Yeah it was weird - I was napping while it started and when I woke up to the alarm they were talking about a tornado, I thought I was dreaming. I didn't really notice that it was so dark then my Dad called to check and make sure I was okay and I was all wtf is going on? When I let the dog out it had temporarily cleared up and the sun was out - I didn't get it. Then I left the house...trees down EVERYWHERE. It was pretty nuts.

I kinda hope another one hits - after I get home though. I love huge thunderstorms like that.


...oh and btw I've been searching for a picture of my new favorite girl and I found one from her wedding day. I'm such a stalker. :o
