Kids in the Hall
I forgot how much I liked this show. I'm working my way through the several box sets I have been lent. What's your favorite sketch? Who makes the best lady?
I like the one where duder trades his jean jacket to the devil for weed. |

It's that old? I used to watch reruns on comedy central a few years ago. I'm going to be 22 next week. |
i saw that weed one on youtube... hehe
|
I really wish this show lasted longer. Sometimes it got way too weird, but it had countless great sketches. You never seem to get an assembly of actors/comedians with such hilarious mannerisms anymore.

It's way old. I was watching it when I was your age and that was 14 years ago. I don't think the humor has stood up to time. It's disappointing because I used to love it. |
My pen!
I saw them at Just For Laughs last month and that was a great show. I'M CRUSHING YOUR HEAD! |
the tough thing about being a mass murderer isn't the murder part, its the mass.

My friend let me borrow Season 3 and the roommate & I have been laughing our asses off all week. |
I'd take chicken lady over the headcrusher any day.
|
the sausages sketch is one of my favorites.
|
I just saw a woman on tv who reminded me of chicken lady, one of my favorites. I think I like Gavin sketches the most, but the show is just pretty great in general.

I enjoyed the sketch where Dave starts his own private fire department only to be disappointed when his neighbor calls 911 when his house is burning.
"Common man!! I'm right here!!" "oh jeez, i just uh sort of forgot." |

I also love the "These are the daves I know" song
and "smokin on a night train chewin on a jelly roll" I sing that all the time at work you can't use your tongue to stop a fan you shouldn't rob a bank without a plan I think Dave makes the best lady. Or Bruce. I like the prostitutes sketch where Dave has a sock puppet. |
The Terrier Song was also pretty funny. There was also one where Buddy Cole got a slave played by Kevin McDonald. It was one of the later seasons but I am not sure. It was in black and white and was sort of a How To video in regards to caring for one's slave.
Also: Dave Foley looks just like Isabella Rossellini in drag. Google her, it's creepy! |
My favorites are the one with the sweat that becomes perfume, the one with the cucumber in the mustache (did I get it now? no), anything with Gavin (once I knew this kid who couldn't take blood transfusions so they gave him apple juice instead and in the fall he changed color, fell off a tree, and died), and Christine and Raj.
My sister and I used to be able to recite the whole Christine and Raj scene. We used to watch them when I was 9 or 10. |
