The whole gays having kids is a difficult issue for me, because of course I think it's okay, but I don't like the idea of people having kids in general, so I can't get too adament about it.

Why are adults any less worthwhile than children? What age, would you say, that a child suddenly has less rights b/c it becomes an adult? So I think this argument is bullshit.

Sex has nothing to do with the ability to be a responsible parent.

Also, to follow up on what Mayo and G Squirrel have already mentioned, intolerance is not the fault of those being harrassed/oppressed. Black people who attended desegregated schools were notoriously harrassed...does this mean there should not have been desegregation? You don't tell someone to not be gay b/c folks will make fun of that. That is ridiculous. The same should apply to raising a child under those circumstances.
