Fillmore & Santa Cruz DVD Project
 

This is a FAN BASED project I have no affliction with the smashing pumpkins.

As you may already know I video taped all 12 shows at the Fillmore and the show at Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.

I am looking to make DVDs of each show & releasing them for free on the internet. It will be torrent based only.. if you are not familiar w/ torrents then

I am currently looking for Video & Audio recordings.

The Following Format are not desired (sorry looking for quality not quantity)
Cell Phone Video
Digital Camera footage (unless you can some how can convince me otherwise)

Video
Desired Footage Format
Video Camera of any type & length.
I am primarily looking for stuff recorded on MiniDV tapes in Stander Definition or High Definition, AVC HD or DVD based Recorders.

Audio
I will be looking for audio of each show
Hopefully you can upload your show in FLAC or better to Archive.org

D00d.. have you lost your fucking mind. To even mention the thought of monetary exchange is unacceptable. Do you understand what the open taping policy means and what you jeopardize by even bringing up the subject of money?

No money should ever change hands.. ever! You send blanks, you burn, you tree, whatever you have to do to get whatever you want circulated. If you don't want to go through this hard work, then don't circulate at all. I won't call you a hoarder, but if you involve money in any way shape or form to distribute this material, there will be problems.

like i said i am planning to avoid it... i had a number of people who said they hate torrents. and tough chesses for them.. i've edit the thread. i won't do any paid download service.

For 7/30 jczeroman ran video for a lot of songs on the floor about 4th row between Billy and Jeff. I think he's busy but eventually I'm sure willing to share. Nice to meet you and your wife, jczeroman!

For 7/16 and 7/18 (I think these 2), Puneet from LA ran video from the floor, very close up, between Ginger and Billy. He seemed very willing to share; I'll contact him soon if he doesn't respond to you first.

For 7/31 and 8/1 Carl Z ran 2 video cameras. You met him on 7/31 and let him get a spot with you in line so he could get to the balcony. He is out of town taping some more shows this weekend, but I'm sure at some point he'll be happy to share his tapes.

i do have 99 Floors for july 31st from a 2nd source. but working to get more before i edit my post

I'm most certain you can upload video to Archive.org, can't you?

It is not allowed as part of the Live Music Archive, since 99% of bands do not allow video taping, even if they are audio-friendly. Perhaps they will make exceptions in the future. Until then, BitTorrent will be a fine distribution medium. I will be happy to send copies to anyone who is unable to torrent/burn DVDs.

Archive does allow video of other things, so maybe you were thinking of that

I noticed "Brian" has audio from some shows, did he just give it to you Monte or can we get it publically somewhere?

Monte has it right now, at least for 7/16 I think. I can also get it from Brian and post it. But Monte may have the DVD ready before I'm able to get it, so whichever happens, ya know

I clicked on your YouTube account, and didn't see the Santa Cruz show. Are you going to upload all the shows at some point?

Yes. I got about half the show (songs only and as much of gossamer as I could before my battery ran out). I'm working on an album right now with every spare moment of my time. I figure it will be a little while till Monte gets to it anyway. I haven't even looked at my footage yet.

As soon as i get all the "promised" video footage & and audio of the show i will start to work on it

just take your time. i think most of us are fine with waiting, so long as it isnt rushed just to get it out. we just want it the best quality it can be. and thanks monte. you rule, as usual.

no, I'm just supplying some video. I am down for making a 7/30 DVD if Monte can't/doesn't want to, but he's the CEO of this operation.

On my side,

I've video taped those :
07-27 : 47 minutes from 1st row, between BC and Ginger
07-28 : 38 minutes from 1st row, dead center
07-30 : 41 minutes from balcony
07-31 : 48 minutes from 1st row, between BC and Ginger
08-01 : 37 minutes from balcony


Since i have a very limited battery, i taped key moments of the show (specialy when we had the setlist before the show started).


Camera : JVC GZ-MG505E - 3CCD


The files will be sent by mail to Monte next week on DVD-R.
