Zach De La Rocha continues to call for revolution

Zack De La Rocha continues to call for revolution

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh how I wish i was at Rock the Bells. Zack dropped this bomb at the show!

"we need to rise up like the youth in Iraq and bring these fuckers to their knees"

And he said the band and he refuse to back down from calling for Bush to be tried and hung

There are very few people I agree with more in the world than Zack

Its a question of what we as a generation decide to do. Are we willing to graduate, get married have kids, buy our white houses and white picket fences. Or are we going to refuse that, and say "hey thats not how it works"

Bush is a murderer and killer and a war criminal.

And the only way to stop the goddamn war, isnt to go gaga for Obama or Hillary. They aint gonna end it folks.

As Ben Harper said "there are two ways things change. 1)people say "hey I aint going to stand for you putting your boots on my chest any more, and rising up or 2) manhattan being submerged in water due to global warming, or a similar crazy event. And he further stated, its past time for reform.

We need to rise up. Rise! RISE! This system doesnt give a crap about you. And if you think Obama and hilary give a damn about you you must be high on meth.

RISE!
.....

i found it in the pearl jam pit

Future Boy 08-02-2007 05:53 AM

So idiots come in different packages, breaking news.

Eric Blair 08-02-2007 06:51 AM

It doesn't fill me with hope that when given a choice between the guy from rage against the machine and, say, Howard Zinn or Noam Chomsky, people will choose the rage guy. There are other people who express these ideas far more rationally and coherently than Zach de la Roch.

Kahlo 08-02-2007 07:53 AM

REVOLUTION!!!

BUY MY CD!!!

Cup O Mercury 08-02-2007 09:54 AM

I hate what he said, but I will defend his right to say it.

Just like you all hate what Rush says but you should defend his right to speak.
Liberals!!! Walk away from the fairness doctrine.

theFoulLasagna 08-02-2007 10:56 AM

i support Rush's right to speak.

The neo-conservatives certainly don't respect anyone's right to speak. Liberals are un-american guys, duh, you are all stuck back in the Clinton Administration. Get with it.

wait i thought the man wanted an uneducated populace to keep at bay or something

Mablak 08-03-2007 01:10 AM

I wonder if Zach's revolution will attract more people than Corgan's. Although no one understands the specifics of the bolly revolution, both seem to have strong appeal.

smurfing 08-03-2007 01:31 AM

i wonder if rocha drank nearly as many beers per day as his compadres down in zapata land

avsfan7733 08-03-2007 02:06 AM

so we gettin a new Rage CD now then?

smashapumpkin 08-03-2007 02:18 AM

failed

zbeast78 08-06-2007 02:48 PM

zach de la rocha is a hypocrite, so why should anyone get fired up by what he says? he pretends to be a big believer in communism, and buddies up with Fidel... but you don't see him selling his mansion or returning the millions upon millions of dollars he's made with Rage.

His form of protest is perfectly portrayed in the hippy episode of South Park. He likes to make strong, powerfull, cool-sounding statements in front of his fans at concerts... but has no intelligent answers to our problems besides "let's hang 'em". Way to sell those Che Gueverra T Shirts Zach!!

Blaise Bailey Finnegan III 08-06-2007 03:02 PM

But he needs all those millions upon millions of dollars to buy all his Zapatista buddies beer.

Right, smurfing?

Castro, Guevarra, Chavez, *insert other socialist authoritarian despot or supporter of* are all just pseudo-commie wankers. It provides me with timeless amusement (and a lack of faith in the human race, which I've gotten over now), how people like de la Rocha influence young fools to follow such ideologies.

Well, at least the EZLN showed that even violent revolutions do bring a change for the better sometimes.
But De La Rocha is delusional, of course.

i'd have no problem with Zach De La Rocha being preachy if he actually practiced what he preaches. But since he doesn't, its nothing more than someone playing to a crowd and trying to sell t-shirts. He's an entertainer, not a leader... and its time for young people to learn the difference.

MrPantyFAce 08-06-2007 06:21 PM

he has been pretty quiet for the past several years...i wonder if it has anything to do with realizing he probably influenced enough people in florida in 2000 to either not bother voting (that testify video was pretty effective) or vote nader instead of gore.

suicideblonde 08-11-2007 01:59 PM

LA RASA!!!LA RASA!!!!!!LA RASA!!! LOL, I love these Mexicans and their call for revolution every week.
