The sweater-guitar connection

It becomes more apparent everyday that everyone plays guitar. I walk down the street and hobos play guitar. I go home and find my 5 year old cousin playing the guitar (although i bought it for her). My sister often "borrows" my guitar even though she has no idea how to play. I dont go a day without hearing someone playing a really botched version of stairway to heaven or smells like teen spirit. Ive been playing for around 8 years and the whole time i've hated fellow guitarists around me (not all of them, just the chumps really), but i've decided to accept all those who "play guitars". im sure if you suck, which a lot of you do, theres not all that much harm done because people will soon stop listening to you and will no longer be impressed by your redition of house of the rising sun or purple haze.
so what i decided now is that, instead of this being a complaint thread, its simply a guitar/guitarist appreciation thread.
post pictures of you guitars, post songs you love to play, post yourself playing, who gives a fuck.
these are my guitars

BlissedandGone2 - since you're such a good player, we have this little ritual around here - record your version of Bury Me solo.

dude! i know!!!
so i got this from my grandma a long time ago and i had never seen one until my band started recording and we pulled it out. it happend to be trash day in my neighborhood which is this summer thing where everyone dumps trash they dont want and before the trucks pick it up you can just go around and take whatever you want. so we're driving back to start recording right? and what do we find? another fucking chord organ!
whats weird about these things are theyre tuning is completely fucked up. they are in tune with eachother but not to any other instruments. its fuckin weird.

http://photos-819.ak.facebook.com/ip...517819_714.jpg

i dont have a picture of the one we got from the trash but its sweet and shocks you everytime you turn it on.

Boycott Graceland 02-14-2007 06:13 PM

i have borrowed them for recording, and yeah, you're right about their own weird tuning. i just tune the guitars and whatever else to the organ whenever i use them.

Shocks you with its sweet tones?

no, to be honest it sounds terrible. well not completely terrible, but i dont like it for recording because it has this air generator thing that makes a lot of buzzing. i meant it legitimately shocks you with electricity when you turn the on knob.

Boycott Graceland 02-14-2007 06:22 PM

this thread needs more sweaters
