when my cat runs in fronf ot me while i am walking around my apartment...

is it damaging to his self-esteem when i yell "MOVE!"

i mean, i pet him and spend time with him as much as possible, but sometimes i just want to go to the bathroom without accidentally stepping on him, y;know?

i know. i'm bored. i'm probably going to be doing this until brena comes over. :(

Trotskilicious 12-05-2006 06:44 PM

don't ever feel bad that your cat is in your way. i usually nudge my dog with my foot. he tends not to be in the way anymore after getting stepped on a few times.

Shapan 12-05-2006 06:45 PM

i dont mind cats, but most of them are fucking full of themselves.

they just sit there and stare at you waiting for you to do shit for them.

its like cats think they deserve all the shit you do for them, while dogs are appreciative they get it in the first place. certain cats rule though, but im still a dog person.

see, cats are heard-headed. i could yell at him every time he does something bad, i think he'd just get afraid of me instead of actually stopping whatever he's doing.

ella 12-05-2006 06:55 PM

they just want attention

D. 12-05-2006 07:03 PM

my cat is an attention whore in every sense of the phrase, then.

murgle 12-06-2006 02:06 AM

my cat is rubbing on my face and purring. She's sweet. aw.

I thought you and Brena broke up?

House of Bread 12-06-2006 02:10 AM

I've totally thought about that D., I figure my cats know I fucking love them gross amounts.

when i wake in the morning i'm lucky to make it into the next room without tripping over one of the two cats that i have. mostly my male cat goes nuts when i first get out of bed. he stalks my every move for about the first hour that i'm up. he runs in front of me or beside me, will lay down on the floor in front of me as i'm walking and for like the first three months that i had him he would actually get into the shower with me and hover in a corner while i showered. what a freak. i kinda like that he's always trying to be up in my koolaid though. he's a seriously awesome companion cat.

she used to/ still does say the same thing sometimes.

murgle 12-06-2006 04:29 AM

she said that about the situation, or she just said it occasionally?

occasionally.

D. 12-06-2006 04:31 AM

but we both know the situation is less than healthy. it's just hard letting go of someone who is the first you've loved. and the sex is phenominal.

i could go into my past fear of not being able to love anyone who wasn't my immediate family, but that'd be best saved for future therapy.

murgle 12-06-2006 04:32 AM

why'd y'all break up again? there seems to be at least some feeling there. maybe not. i dont know.

to make a long story short: her drinking problem and different plans for the future (raising kids, ect).

D. 12-06-2006 04:35 AM

plus some stuff that happened between us that we feel makes a solid relationship extremely different. (no cheating or anything like that, but stuff we're both not exactly proud of).
